I visited Dr. Hornaday office in extreme pain. My wisdom tooth had grow up under my last tooth on the top right. I asked for pain medications as this was a consultation and it was still going to be 4 days until the appointment and I was practically crying in pain. I was told no if I needed it go to the hospital. That night I did and was prescribed medication. I filled it at the local pharmacy and came in for my appointment on the correct day. The surgery went and took place. I was given a prescription for pain medication. Mind you the first prescription from the hospital was 15 pills for Monday - Thursday. Directions said take 1-2 twice a day as needed for pain. Which I did. I could only take the 1-2 in half pills every few hours because it made me sick. I have never been on anything stronger than Tylenol before this week. I dont even drink or smoke. I had the prescription called in to Meijer pharmacy and went to pick it up. It was not ready twice when I went to get it. Finally they told me that it was fraudulent. I was crying because I was in pain and I couldnt understand how it could be this way the doctors office called it in. They made me feel like I was some drug seeker when I had a whole in my gums from the surgery. I was in pain. I called Dr. Hornaday to see what was going on after three times of trying to pick up this prescription. Dr. Hornaday told me he called and canceled it himself because I had gotten a prescription from the hospital. The one from the hospital was supposed to be 4 days worth and it was now 5 days. I was shocked no phone call no nothing. I said wow I definitely wont be going back to your office. He tells me that is fine because he does not want me ever as a patient. Wtf? What did I do wrong. I got a prescription for pain because my wisdom tooth was cracked and more than 80% broken and my nerves were exposed and a sharp edge was cutting my gums. I used the prescription appropriately. Then I get yelled at and told to never come back. What in the world. If you like being treated like scum and being told you dont need medication and like impersonal doctors well than this is the office for you. They will rush you in and out and not care if you are numbed up, in pain, or otherwise. I have never in my life been treated this way. I am a mother of two and I wanted enough medication where I could play and run outside with my children. Now I get to stay in bed and be in pain all night. I can not even sleep. I will never visit this office again. Find another oral surgeon he is awful!

Very nice and friendly staff went and had all four wisdom teeth pull and it went very well only took them 30mins tops I was very impressed I would recommend this dentist to everyone
