Well, we moved back to Seymour, IN about 20 months ago and have decided to switch vets to Dr. Paul Rennekamp at St. Francis Pet Hospital. Jackson County Animal Clinic really made me angry with their non caring attitude when I called in because of their extended hours. My friend from Brown Co. was not able to get in anywhere to have her suffering 14 yr old Schnauzer put to sleep. I called Jackson Co. Animal Hospital to try and get him in between 6 PM and 10 PM. The receptionist told me after checking with the vet that there was no way they had time to help with this problem. Really???? It does not take that long to put a dog down. Even if my friend would have had to wait until the 10 PM time slot it would have worked for her. She was willing to pay an emergency fee above the regular fee needed. You cannot tell me they could not fit this dog in. Dr. Paul Rennekamp from St. Francis did take the time. I will never return to Jackson County Animal Clinic nor will I send any more clients there from my home grooming business or my dog obedience classes. Jackson County Animal Clinic just blew it for me.

We have used this clinic our whole lives and they have now disappointed us to a point where we will never go back. There was a situation where they misinformed me that my dog needed his duclaws out. Then after calling about the bandages 3 times, I finally cut them off of my dog because his paw had swollen so large it was purple and he was wimpering. Then, just this last Fall, my senior shih tzu was hitting a decline in health. However, she was still mobile, using the restroom outside, and eating regularly. I was aware of this decline in health, and so was the vet, as we had discussed treatment and opted out. They proceeded to give her a full round of vaccinations. At the end of the appointment the vet tells me that her liver is large and hardened and she likely had just weeks to live. About 5 days later she passed away. They should not have vaccinated my dog, and the vet should have been more cautious and considerate. Overall, my pets are family and I refuse to waste money on a clinic who does not put their wellfare first.

Our pug was not feeling well, so we brought him to Jackson County Animal Clinic on Friday night during the 4th of July weekend. He was given a diagnosis of pancreatitis and we were told that he was going to be held for a few days to be treated and observed. We found out that he was left over the weekend with very limited care and observation. We took him home with a prognosis that he will not live longer than one to two more days. We took him to another vet and we were told that he actually had liver cancer and died at the vet 3 days after we took him out of Jackson County Animal clinic. Jackson County Animal clinic mis diagnosed, mistreated, and neglected our family member...resulting in us not giving our family member a comfortable last few days at home with his family. The law doesnt see pets as anything other than property, but ask any pet owner that, and theyll tell you that they are just as important as a family member...

Our dog was throwing up & dehydrated all day. We decided by 11pm on Sunday night that he needed emergency care. We left a message on their emergency line and was called back immediately. Their guess diagnosis over the phone was accurate. They came in at midnight to meet us at the office (we took 1.5 hour to get there) and took our dog right in and tested him, to find he had parvo. They immediately admitted him and took him into their care. They called us twice a day, every day he was there. We got him 3 days later, with followup antibiotics and he is now all better and healthy! Everyone was always friendly, professional, & helpful. We couldnt have asked for better service from a vet and were glad our normal vets after hours phone message pointed us to Jackson County Animal Clinic!

This place is absolutely horrible. They are thieves. We took our son Houston in for his one year shot and everything was fine. They forgot to do his heartworm test. Now they are telling us we have to come back for it (we drive over 100 miles) before they will fill a prescription for his medicine. The best kicker. The medicine he has been on they do not even carry. So they are FORCING us to pay a high fee to release a prescription for Pet Meds. So they are making money from us just to get his medicine they do not even offer? GET REAL! We will no longer take our babies to such awful crooks who only care about money and not the safety of your pets! Go anywhere else but here because they will find a way to take your money!

I have only been to the Jackson Co. Animal Clinic a few times, but every time they have been more than helpful. They have not only helped us make decisions about how to care for our seizure prone dog, but also supported us when we had to put our cat down. They have always been very courteous, informative, and compassionate.

Its been a week and a half but I received over the top service from this facility. As an OTR driver I did not expect the treatment that I received. My dog seemed to me was on her last Stand but they checked her out gave me pills and in 6 hours I had a renewed dog. Thanks for your assistance.

This place just took care of our Chiweenie (Chihuahua and dashund mix) I know I misspelled it, but she is doing so well, she got spayed and shots and everything and is in NO pain. Thats all I cared about.. They are our go-to vet from now on.

Called about putting down my 14-year-old dog who took a turn for the worse last night because we didnt want him to suffer. They were double booked and couldnt help. Apparently dont care about an animal suffering.

Took my dog in to get neutered and they did not do any blood work and killed my dog as they were giving him anesthesia. He was a 2 year old blue healer with no known health issues.
