I was just there late the night of 7/16 into the morning of 7/17. The nurse, Sarah was fantastic. Except the room she put us in had no bed and no arm with an arm rest. Mamas with babies will appreciate how difficult it was for me to hold a sleeping toddler for hours. Then the DR comes in and treats me like Im stupid. Her fever was 103.5 AFTER meds and he was sending us home "because we really need to get the script filled". The hospital has no amoxil apparently. I ask if hes serious. He says "we will watch her a little longer, I guess". So here I am at the ONLY pharmacy thats open and they dont accept my daughter insurance. Its Tricare ( her dad is active duty). So now Im paying out of pocket. A miserable experience to say the least.

Pregnancy Care: I was very leary of going here, just bwcause of what you hear (horror stories) but I am glad I did. The nurses, doctors, and rest of the staff/people who seen me were amazing. Ive never had such a better visit to a hospital. For this being my first baby it was the best experience having such an intelligent staff and doctor who can answer any and every question, and always making sure your taken care of. Dr Cook delivered my 8lb 13.4oz baby boy and he was so kind and encouraging the whole process because as any mother knows it isnt easy having a baby. Some go through more pain then others and I think I was one of them. I will recommend this hospital to any pregnant woman looking for a place to deliver.

I dont understand all the bad reviews....Ive always had excellent care when Ive been in the emergency room. I was taken care of in expedient time. Im not saying they are perfect....I had one nurse who started asking very personal questions, in front of other people, before I was even put in a room, now that was embarrassing. My parents have spent time in the hospital and I was very pleased with the way they were taken care of. It is a small town hospital and they will send you to a larger hospital, if need be, ASAP. Ive had experience with Scott and White in Texas which is an excellent hospital and Ive had experience with Lutheran in Ft. Wayne and I have seen good and bad there.

This hospital is a complete joke. Went to be treated the 2nd time in the same day for same issue that they obviously did not treat properly.Waited for over an hour to be seen. The receptionist was very rude. I told bobby that we had been waiting over an hour and she rudely stated the time and that patients were seen by the severity, which I can understand, but when your writhing in pain and puking blood and were there for the 2nd time in the same day I would call that very server. Then proceeded to wait another half hour for a doctor. I recommend any other hospital out there. Theres no way it could be worse than this one.

Was admited and hell breaks lose after shift changes. Husband had a scope done and when done,he was told to eat and get ready to go home. Suffered in pain. Doctor comes in and says you shouldnt have ate and more. How does a nurse let this happen. He came in for his pancreatis and next morning gets told eat and leave an hr after he eats. Its sad,the nurse didnt care at all and just said opps sorry. But for a small hospital and a nurse who doesnt care, makes me NOT come back here. Doctors are great, nurses not so great .

I can nor believe how bad they have gotten. The employees are rude and dont care about the patients. Took my daughter to urgent care and was told the temporary paperwork that my insurance gave me wasnt good enough and that I had to pay for everything upfront. I stated I couldnt they said that she couldnt be seen. I asked why they said thats the policy. My only problem is this is the only hospital close. They know this and dont care. Spend less money on billboards and take care of people.

Absolutely HORRIBLE "hospital"... Took my son to the E.R. for specific symptoms he displayed . Staff acted like we were bothering them and diagnosed him with Paresthesia and said he would be fine and sent him on his way. His condition deteriorated drastically over a few days so I took him to a Fort Wayne hospital where he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis within four hours. KCH is a joke and not even a good one. DO NOT GO THERE

By its nature, how do you rate a hospital that you loved it when youd really rather not be there? :) The staff are courteous and better than any other hospital Ive been to. They appreciate their staff and really do care about the feedback they receive. They change policy to reflect their patients needs and care. I know lots of people that work there, and they like it too.

Went there after going to my family doctor the day before. Turns out I was completely misdiagnosed and KCH caught it all pretty quickly. The nurses were all really great and the doctor was in my exam room before I was. In and out within an hour.
