Scheduling and professionalism appears to be a problem here, particularly with support staff. When calling in for appointments or other information, I have had to ask the schedulers to have staff speak more softly in the background due to HIPAA violations I could overhear because of the volume of their voices. Appointments often feel rushed with the physicians. When addressing medical issues or side effects from medications, it can take multiple days to get a call back, even when leaving multiple messages. I have been told that phone call messages are put off until the very end of the day, even if the call is to avoid medical emergency and hospital admissions due to medication side effects. This is disconcerting that they do not seem to factor in medical need. The billing department has historically remained rude and they often patch calls back and forth to one another, each person claiming that they were never the right person to send the call to in the first place. That seems to be routine for most hospital billing departments, however. That being said, while it has usually taken me about 1-2 months to get into to see my PCP, I can usually get in to see the NP within 1-2 weeks. While they are impatient in face to face interactions, they will at least sit through longer if you explain that it is needed. The nurses appear to be kind.

I am a transgender man who recently had to undergo a laperoscopy, hysteroscopy and D&C. These procedures are hard enough for anyone, but the psychological effects of a man having to admit he needs these procedures can be even more difficult. I didnt know what kind of attitudes to expect from the staff at St Vincent Hospital in Fishers, but to my relief I was treated, not only with dignity and respect, but with friendliness and compassion from everyone I encountered. My doctor, Dr Brandy Garrett, my nurse, Natalie Groce, my anesthesiologist, Dr Price, (and all the other surgical staff whose names I dont remember) made sure I was knowledgeable and prepared for each step of the process. They made sure I was relaxed and comfortable, and their smiles went a long way to make me feel like I was the most important patient in their hospital. My thanks goes out to everyone who made my experience memorable for all the right reasons.

I live close to this hospital and ER and my wife, kids, and I have all been there at least once.....and I have to agree 100% with Daniel below. This ER is not helpful in any way. They do nothing more than make sure you are alive when you leave that is about it. They did the same for us and told us to see another doctor and follow up etc. Completely a waste of our time and money. I dont feel like they care at all about anything but moving people in and out as quickly as possible and I am not sure why because the place is always empty regardless of time of day. Horrible place and I would only go there as a last resort to any problem.

I have not been a patient here long. I have only met with the nurse practitioner, and she was okay. Seemed to know what she was doing, but the appointment was only an initial visit and no medical examination was needed. My biggest complaint is that when you call with a question or to talk to someone to schedule an appointment, you are on hold for FOREVER. I have been sitting here waiting to talk to a receptionist for well over 15 minutes. Its unacceptable.

My primary doctor there is great. The lab (Mid America Clinical Labs) is staffed by very rude people who treat you like you are a bother to them. The radiology techs are very nice, but the check-in folks are rather cold. The building does not have a warm, welcoming feel to it. It is rather drab and cold. The ER is mediocre, at best. This place definitely lacks friendliness.

Rude staff, incompetent doctors, both in the ER and the outpatient clinic. Dont waste your time going here; you will get treated horribly and the health care providers wont listen to you. Id recommend the 86th or Meridian street locations. I will never be back to this one in particular.
