Before I begin, let me just say that Dr. Cook was a good doctor. I have no problem with this doctor what so ever. With that out of the way, the office staff is horrible. When I made my appointment I asked the office if they participated with my insurance. I was told "yes we do". When I checked in for my appointment and I gave the front office girl my insurance card I double checked that they do participate with my insurance network and she told me "yep". I had my procedure performed and 3 months later received a hefty bill in the mail! I would have NEVER went to this doctor if I would have known she was NOT in my insurance network! I have very good insurance with a very low copay for all medical treatment as long as the doctor is in the insurance network. I called the office in total shock that they were not in the network and the lady to whom I spoke with tried telling me that it must be MY insurance policy as they do take that insurance. This person tried to give me the complete run around. Finally I sternly asked her, "is this office in my insurance network or not?" to which she snidely replied, "no but we do accept it". Of course they accept it! Any office will accept it but it makes a huge difference if they are actually contracted with the network or not! No discount was given, no apology offered. I have learned an important lesson from this office: ALWAYS call your insurance to double check the accuracy of what the doctors office is telling you. Today I will be writing a large check because the office was very misleading and incorrect in what they quoted me in regards to my insurance. Will never deal with this office again.

I scheduled an appointment to have the fractional laser treatment performed and as part of their protocol, Dr. Cook said they use an Erbium Yag laser over top of the first one. During the procedure I felt a lot of pain behind my ears because there was no numbing agent in that region; it should go without saying that it was completely unnecessary for her to resurface that area anyway. I ended up with second degree burns which later left more scars on my face because she made multiple passes over the same parts and then other spots were left completely untouched by both treatments as if it was purposely done that way. She also ran the laser up into my hairline on my forehead and on my temples where very little hair grows now. Completely rushed and sloppy job overall. Not worth the amount of money I paid for a professional service and I wish I had taken my business elsewhere. If my experience is any indication of their work, do not go here! P.S. They also make you sign a damn waiver in case you leave without the results you were expecting. This shouldnt cover the outright neglect I experienced.

I liked Dr. Cook but the office staff are beyond rude and unprofessional. I was made to feel bad about needing a specific time of day for appointments and when I asked about some specific charges, the office manager was so rude to me. When I did go in for appointments, the office person would act like I was interrupting her day by checking in or needing to schedule a follow up. The office manager also was rude to the receptionist when booking my next appointment and they had an argument in front of me about it. It was uncomfortable. I will not be returning just because of the office staff, not because of Dr. Cook. I would not recommend Skin Solutions to anyone....ever.

I have to agree with some of the other posts - the staff at the front desk was rude and unfriendly, but I also have to give this place 5 stars because of Dr. Cook. She was the 3rd person Id been to for a skin condition. The first misdiagnosed me (I waited 3 months to see if his prescription worked), the second (at McFarland) dismissed my condition as acne (which it didnt at all resemble), but when I got to Skin Solutions, Dr. Cook actually tested a flake of my skin and diagnosed me correctly. I saw results in two weeks for a condition Id had for 6 months. I cant thank her enough and would go back even if I had to see the rude women at the front desk again.

Hated this place. I went in to be treated for my severe acne and got prescribed a gel and minocycline. There was a nurse who was nice along with the receptionist I spoke with, But the MD I saw was just horrible and had no interest in you as a patient (probably only for money, go figure) The minocycline made me sick for days and when I try to call and get a hold of them, They never answer. They say that they are open till 4:30 but Ive been calling for the last 5 days around 2 and never get ahold of them!! They really need to get their act together before people stop going here all together.

When I checked in the front desk woman was not friendly, just sort of "Heres your forms, give us your money". I was 30 minutes early, but waited for awhile after my appointment was already supposed to have started. The assistant who came in to talk to me first was nice, friendly, made conversation. Waited longer for the Dr.? to come in. She was nice, but could tell she was in a hurry to get me in and out. Left without a real solution due to some allergies and other circumstances that prevented me from getting what I needed. Not a terrible experience but not outstanding either.

Would not recommend this place to anyone... my first appointment in March, I was assured that my medicaid insurance would be accepted. After driving almost 2 hours for a follow up in June, I was informed that they no longer accept medicaid and that my trip was a waste and she would not even see me at all due to this. The staff was aware of my upcoming appointment and the fact that my insurance was no longer accepted, but no one could be bothered to inform me before I made the trip. Extremely unprofessional and just plain rude. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty awful. The staff are very unprofessional, and both times Ive been in the PA has seemed very rushed in getting me in and out. Listened politely enough but didnt really seem to be fully considering the symptoms vs my lips looked. Now I get a call saying that because someone theyre messed up I can no longer be seen as a patient never going there again

The nurse and doctor were very kind. However, the receptionist was completely rude. I called a week in advance for an appointment and she said the appointment was for Monday at 3. When I went in, she said it was set up for March, which was a month ahead of time! Instead of apologizing she made it seem like it was my fault when it was clearly her fault.

The receptionist is rude and disrespectful to customers. When I sat in the waiting room all the receptionist staff did was talk about their personal lives and about other customers. When speaking to them on the phone they were extremely rude and treated me like I was 5. They could care less about their customers. Terrible business!
