I did not have a good experience here. You can tell they prefer cats and they only care about the money. They were always trying to have me get the most expensive of everything and then make me feel guilty when I couldnt afford it. They do not do house calls and will only talk to you during business hours. Ive had a lot of vets in my past and theyve all made me feel like they would do anything for my dog except Ashworth Road Animal Hospital. I had to put my dog down over the weekend so I brought him to Iowa Veterinary Specialties and they were amazing. Ashworth Road Animal Hospital didnt even call me. I had to call them! They didnt even care and told me that they received a fax that my dog has passed and that I was all settled up financially at the front desk. No condolences whatsoever. I will not go through this vet ever again.

My family has taken animals to Ashworth Road Animal Hospital for decades and there is simply no other way to say it: this is finest veterinary establishment I have even had the pleasure to encounter. Time and again, the doctors have gone above and beyond to provide top notch health care for my animal family. I am particularly thankful for their sensitivity and generosity in providing end of life care to four animals who were my children and for whom I still mourn every day. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This is the only place I will ever take my pets to! The Veterinarians and the rest of the staff are so caring and friendly! I have had to put two of my pets down in the time that I have been a client, and was devastated both times. Dr. Merk and the rest of the staff gave me the time I needed to say goodbye, and were gentle and loving with my Izzy and Buddy. They sent me a hand-written sympathy card both times, that showed me that they truly cared. Wonderful people!

Best Vet in WDM! Dr. Merk is so wonderful and truly loves all animals! She called me back personally when I was having problems with my cat - and gave an honest answer, not just "bring him in". I am so thankful to have found a vet that is personable, genuine and caring!
