We went in for a very specific reason, that we had captured on video.. vet was very good with our pet and our concerns with that matter. Which is the only reason we were there. During examination vet made us aware of health condition of our pet. Head to tail which I appreciate. I stated to only update shots as needed. As prior reviewer have said its about cost and like all vets they have no control. Its not that we dont care for our animal there is no way we can afford to pay. I understand they need to make money happy to pay for the appointment. When we went to check out we were charged for testing ear wax ($40) and a blood test for heart worm ($60) even though I was not advised of the test costs and did not consent to them. As I said before.. I instructed them to update his shots as needed. THATS IT. Anyways advice to those who use this vet. Tell them clearly I want to know what you are doing before you do it , the cost associated with that, in writing that I sign off on otherwise I am not paying it. Not happy with my bill. I strongly believe I should at the very least be reimbursed for a $40 ear wax test. OMG what a ripoff. My wife wanted to give the local vet a chance but well be looking elsewhere after this appointment. My advice to Chan vet is just what I said... do your examination put in writing what your treatment plan and costs are for each item and have a owner sign-off. Did enjoy the Vet and staff, kind and helpful. From owner of Obi.

We were able to get in same day. Prices were kind of high. We used their new customer coupon for a free office visit. They only applied to the one pet of the two pets. The coupon said it would apply for both of them so we ended up getting overcharged $50 for the visit. They didnt seem to understand that the reason we didnt have every treatment recommended by them for our animals was because of cost. They proposed over $1200 in tests and dental work. When we had our dog tested for an infection the vet came back and said "Im glad you let us do it. Its not a matter of letting you do it, its a matter of not having the money in the bank account. Its the same reason I dont run to the doctor for myself that often. Place was clean and nice. Probably wont be heading back to this location. Need some place that is more understanding of financial constraints.

This place is way overpriced. For an ear exam they charge exactly $432/hr and wont let you know until youre at checkout. Mine was $72 and the vet admitted it took ten minutes. They are unwilling to negotiate once theyve got you, without being upfront with there pricing. Vets and nurses are kind, but deceiving and will take you to the bank even if youve stated what you are willing to do as far as shots and exams. Will not go here again, be very careful unless youre willing to spend a lot more than expected. Medication is on average 25% higher than what you can get it for online. Do your research, shop around, if you have a lot of cash to blow these are friendly people.

Our pet family of cats has been receiving loving excellent care from Chan Vet for 22 years. They are accommodating to our pets needs, provide us with detailed information, are friendly, caring and concerned. There have been times when we need to leave a pet at the clinic for testing, treatments, or surgery. It’s hard to leave a pet, but I have confidence the staff will take great care of her. They phone us with results, let us know how our pet is doing, and when we can pick her up. Were pleased to encourage our friends to go there.

Since we moved to this town about 30 years ago, we have been going to the Chan Vet, and theyve become like another bunch of parents to all our animals!! They go WAY above and beyond what they need to do to help our pets! Example, one doctor was out sick, she was the reptile expert and we have 2 baby lizards. One of them was sick, the doctor looked at the x-rays called us from her home while she was ill to tell us our lizard was okay! They love our pets like its their own! Never could ask for a better place!!
