So it has been many years since I have worked at this office but I feel compelled to tell you what I have seen. I am not a disgruntled employee. As an animal lover you need to know what I know. I worked at this office for probably a year and a half. I took this job because I loved animals. I wanted a career in animals. Shortly after starting at this office I noticed the Dr was never in on time. We would schedule appt and then have to call him when they arrived, leaving the pt to wait until he arrived. We also would have to call and remind him of his appt scheduled. He is a hunter and would leave to hunt on his land. He almost never was in the office when he was supposed to be. Once I started assisting him in the back with the animals, out of the pet owners view, he was very violent with the animals. Once he swung a min pin up on the counter using only the leash. It was terrifying to see. He would ALWAYS hit any animal that showed resistance. Not a small tap but closed fist -punch. I witnessed him do a surgery on a small yorkie at the end of the day ( spay and neutering were supposed to be done in the AM so they have to recover before we send them home) the poor dog was crying during surgery because she was not put under all the way. The owner showed up to pick the dog up and he has me stand in the back room holding the dogs mouth shut while she woke up. She was yelping and crying in pain. WORST MOMENT IN MY LIFE! I have seen many procedures done incorrectly. He cut a growth off a dog while the dog was fully awake and then placed quick stop in the wound. The dog was crying. That same dog returned a few days later with a massive infection. Many times he would euthanize animals by giving them a shot and sticking them in a kennel to die alone. This was once someones pet and family member. He told them we would sit with the animal until the animal passed. That was never the truth! Boarding is a nightmare!! Large dogs in kennels they cant even stand in! The kennels looked like chicken cages stacked on top of each other. They would have them all full! The dogs were way too big for these kennels but they never say no to boarding. They only get let out twice to go potty. No play time at all! It is abuse! I have witnessed many terrifying, disturbing and sad things while I worked there. How could I have worked there knowing all of this, Im not sure? My love for animals kept me there and I felt like if I were there I was somehow protecting them. When I worked there he owned a couple of different dogs but one named Burt he left in a run in the basement the whole year and a half that I worked there. He never took him home and only took him out to hunt and then back to his dark run in the basement. What vet does this to their own animal? I have no clue how Dr Warwick is still in practice. If I were you I would NEVER take my animal here and if you do DONT EVER LEAVE YOUR PET ALONE WITH HIM OR OUT OF VIEW!! Dont even think about boarding! If you saw the conditions in this office you would be shocked! Truly if you love your fur-baby dont ever go to this office!

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE! This is an irresponsible office. I found a male Boston Terrier on Saturday 6/4 and brought him into this office to check for a chip. He did not have a chip but the office said they would keep him and make some phone calls to try and find the owners. As a dog lover, I was very nervous to leave this dog. I confirmed with them that he would not end up in a shelter or some place horrible. They reassured me that they would keep him safe and adopt him out if no one claimed him. I left them my phone number and asked them to keep me updated. I called Monday to check up on him and was told he was turned over to Olathe Animal Control. Upon calling to check, they never received a Boston Terrier. I called Wednesday to check again and to see what was going on. I was then told that they brought the dog back to where I said I found him and let him go! The receptionist said "dogs typically find their way home". I was absolutely appalled at this. This dog could have been 5 miles from home. He could have been hit by a car. He could have been picked up by some horrible person. etc. I asked to speak with the office manager and she was conveniently unavailable. Called again today (Thursday) to speak with the office manager and was told she will be out for the rest of the week. I then asked to speak with the vet, Dr. Warwick and he confirmed what the receptionist said the previous day in its entirety. He said I should learn to trust my neighbors and trust that this dog ended up at home. TRUST MY NEIGHBORS.... I cant even trust a vet to do the right thing. Sorry for the long review. I just want everyone to know this is not a trust worthy place. What kind of vet would put a dog back on the street. Not a vet you should trust. My number was available and Olathe Animal Shelter is always available to take dogs in and they chose to just let him go.

One star is too many! This is a horrible vet! After picking my dog up after surgery for a tumor removal I knew something had gone horribly wrong. There were random holes all over her body, random staples where there were no holes. He stapled her leg flap to her stomach for no reason and we had to pull the staple out because she couldnt walk. She had 15 staples down her back and was sent home with no pain meds or antibiotics. When I questioned the vet tech, because the vet was nowhere to found, she told me it was just a superficial wound and didnt need pain meds. My dog stopped breathing in the middle of the night (we think due to the pain) and we rushed her to Blue Pearl where they gave her guess what, PAIN MEDS AND ANTIBIOTICS! I tried to call and speak with the "vet" and they hung up on me multiple times. I feel horrible that I did this to my dog and put her through all this pain. If you love your pets please do not take them here.

We were referred here by a friend and this was our first and ONLY time going here .I helped my mom pick her dog up after having a massive tumor removed. Our dog was so loopy she couldnt stand up. She was covered in blood and what looked like stab wounds. He had cut random parts of her body saying that she was covered in moles and he felt like taking them off. This has not been discussed since Ginger had no moles previously. Her legs and head had deep holes in them. We were in shock and took her home. They offered no pain meds or antibiotics, stating it was just a minor surgery. Our dog was yelping and shaking. My mom called back to speak with the "vet" and was put on hold for half an hour and then hung up on. She called again and they were very rude to her and very put out with her concerns. This man needs his license taken away and locked up!
