Severely disappointed! Heartbroken, mad.... Doesnt matter what I say, wont bring Cato back. However hopefully my words will keep this from happening to someone else. Cato went in with breathing complications due to an Infection sat night at 1am. This clinic, Dr Prewett and Dr DeRycke failed in communication, compassion and care. We knew the risks and just wanted a chest tube to drain the fluid to give Cato a chance Sat night. Dr Prewett kept wanting us to go to OK for a specialist, but it wasnt an option, or euthanize Cato. We wanted to try and was willing to try. We finally got Dr Prewett to say she would do the procedure at 7 it was 3 am...Cato is still critical at the point. Procedure didnt happen, ball was dropped and we were never called. At 7 when Dr DeRycke came in she told me personally at 4pm sun afternoon she knew nothing of the scheduled procedure. Come to find out my mom and out local vet who was out of town personally called and confirmed earlier that day she was doing the procedure at noon or one. None of the stories lined up, matched or made since. Cato struggled for three days, his heart finally gave out Mon morning at 830 as local vet was attempting to do the tube to drain the fluid. But 2 days was to much on his heart. The two vets lied to us and another vet, they had no interest in doing a procedure that an emergency clinic does often Im sure. We would be ok if Cato would have passed while getting the procedure of after. But knowing two vets that claim to have animals best interest in mind had him in their possession for over 14 hours, watched him struggle to breathe, choke on saliva and lied on 4 separate occasions about doing the chest tube. Its wrong, on so many levels....he was 5....again my words cant bring him back....but Im hoping noone else will have to go through this. As an ER clinic people come to you for help....if you are not capable say so....dont take cash money and agree to something and not do it. You are supposed to be held to a certain level of professionalism and the two doctors failed to say the least. There is also office staff and techs, that failed to a certain point. So much anger hurt and frustration...especially knowing nothing can be changed. Please please reconsider this clinic, find another one...or ensure you get the care you agree or deserve. We trusted your office, left Cato in your care waited for the procedure and got no word...we called and was surprised nothing had been done, to be promised ok yes we will do it..and then picking g him up and it again not being done. Shame on Dr Prewett, Dr DeRycke and staff that didnt try anything.

CANT SAY ENOUGH POSITIVE, WONDERFUL THINGS ABOUT DR. LEDFORD AT THE FORT SMITH ANIMAL EMERGENCY CLINIC! CANNOT SAY ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT ANIMAL EMERGENCY CLINIC IN SPRINGDALE. Called ahead at 1AM after dachsund was attacked by wild critter. Told us to bring her in. Arrived in Springdale at the Emergency Clinic soon after. They said we are swamped ??., but she needs surgery immediately!! They said, "Your best bet is to drive to Fort Smith or Tulsa." They DID NOT DO ANYTHING to stabilize her or stop bleeding or help with pain. Went directly to FORT SMITH ANIMAL EMERGENCY CLINIC. Dr. Ledford did an EXCELLENT job to stabilize, ran blood work, x-rays etc. for 6 lacerations, 8 inch hernia (2 broken ribs). Could not give pain meds because he recommended having surgery closer to home (Fayetteville). HE CONTACTED Dr. Mohler at the Animal Medical Clinic in Fayetteville to prepare him for our arrival. Dr. Ledford gave us a copy of all testing when we left. When we arrived at ANIMAL MEDICAL CLINIC (Fayetteville), 7 hrs after event, Dr. Mohler had everything he needed AND they did surgery immediately in the clinic. Excellent care, follow-up and very fair fees. . CANT SAY ENOUGH POSITIVE, WONDERFUL THINGS ABOUT DR. MOHLER AND STAFF AT THE ANIMAL MEDICAL CLINIC IN FAYETTEVILLE.

Absolutely, under no circumstances, leave your pet here over night. They do not take care of them beyond what they charge for. They do not clean them. They do not keep and eye on them. A few months ago we took my puppy December in for the treatment of parvovirus and she passed away here. Come to find out she died of hypoglycemia because no one checked her blood sugar after being told she hadnt eaten in days. Decie had been there for two nights and hadnt gotten any sort of dextrose (sugar supplement) until she had already slipped into a coma. Then tonight we picked up a few puppies out of our litter of boxers from here tonight and their eyes were crusted over, their noses were clogged, their fur was crusted with vomit, and they were struggling to breathe. The puppies were doing so much better before we left them, but we thought we were giving them the best chance if we let the vets here watch them. We thought we were giving them a fighting chance, but now it looks like we left them to be neglected for 24 hours when they needed veterinary care the most. This clinic could very well have given three more of our puppies a death sentence just because we had nowhere else to go.

Takes a real low life scum bag to deny services to someone with a sick dog just because they dont have money right now. Money is more important than the life of another living being?! You are worthless low life and I hope someone does that to you some day when you are sick. I will never use your service nor ever recommend you to anyone. You may have gained a faithful client, but instead you lost out.

Do not go to these people thay are more concerned about geting there money than helping an animal called them at 1am about our kitten wouldnt even see us without money up front when I asked them what else I could do thay told me hope it makes it to the morning it didnt she died a few hours later these people should even be in business if you value your pet go somewhere else

We have been here twice with true emergencies and both times they have taken very good care of our labs. Diagnoses last night was spot on with what our Vet said today. Thank you all for those last precious hours we were able to spend with our boy.

I live 1 1/2 hr away and took my dog here because she was loosing weight, had collapsed and had become very week. The doctor was very nice and returned to the room several times to answer our questions. Would recommend!!
