As much as this review pains me to type, I feel it is necessary. I have been a customer of Cobblestone Vet Clinic for over fifteen years. I have had great experiences, and not so great experiences..however, I always felt that the staff had positive intentions, and were genuine people, devoted to their practice. After today, I will not return, nor recommend someone to their practice. I arrived at their clinic around noon with a 9 year old dog showing symptoms of GDV. Her stomach was extremely bloated, and hard, she was having difficulty breathing and standing, and was shaking rapidly. I advised the front desk of her symptoms and was brought into an exam room. There were no other animals in the waiting room or being seen at the time. After five minutes, a woman entered the exam room and advised me "the doctors were having a meeting and would be unable to see me for two hours." I clarified with her that the doctors were in fact in the building, but could not see my animal because they were in a "meeting." The woman confirmed this with me and advised me I could wait, or come back later. I left the exam room and spoke with a different employee at the front desk (Jan) who advised me she would "ask in the back." I legitimately watched her walk back and speak with a veterinarian and return to tell me "theres nothing we can do. They are having a meeting." I stood there and watched three veterinarians that I know by name walk around and gather things for lunch before stepping into their meeting. I have never been so disturbed by the lack of empathy or care. I asked the other front desk employee "if my dog dies right here, was that meeting worth it?" She replied to me "maybe you shouldve brought her in earlier." I am stunned that an establishment can call themselves an animal clinic, yet not administer care when an animal is brought to them. I do not care what the subject of your meeting was. I brought an animal to you for treatment, and you decided that your lunch was more important.

We have been using Veterinary Center of Liberty since we moved here in June 2006 and have always been pleased with the level of service they provided to our 4 legged family members. However, that has now changed when we took my almost 8 year old Golden Retriever in for an appointment For his annual vaccines and to look at a small lump on his front knee. They did some test and said he had bone cancer. They then told my husband he would have maybe 2 months to live so they did not want to give his vaccines. We brought our Golden Retriever home to make him enjoy the rest of his life. This all happened on May 27, 2015 it is now June 24, 2016 and my beautiful Golden Retriever is still enjoying life despite the tumor grwoing around his knee. They refuse to give him his vaccines without charging us 100s of dollars for a medical checkup which they already know what he has. We are taking our Golden with us camping to Florida first part of July 2016 and he needs a current rabies vaccine that they wont give him. This will most likely be his last family vacation and want him to enjoy his time at beaches and the state parks. Would like them to make it right and do the right thing since he has clearly surpassed his life span with his bone cancer. We have been getting his pain/inflammation pills to give him as needed and asked a for a new bottle to have on hand for our 2 week vacation, but quickly told us they would not give him anymore since it has been a year since they saw him last.

I recently took my childhood cat to their office for what I thought was a simple eye infection, expecting to be given antibiotics and sent home. Unfortunately it turned out to be stage 4 kidney failure with little to no chance for him to regain his health. discussing my options with the doctor she was kind and caring. she went above and beyond with what you would expect. She answered all of my questions, she was very gentle and loving towards my cat. When the day came that it was time to let him go she made us feel better about the decision we had made she allowed us to bring in things to make my cat more comfortable like a pillow, and blanket. The whole experience as awful as it was she made it better. After a couple days had passed I received a card in the mail stating how sorry they were for my loss. I have never experienced such kindness from a vets office before. I could go on about my amazing experience but I wont. I will just say that if you are looking for a new place to take your fur babies I highly recommend this clinic.

I took my roommates dog while he was out of town and the dog was seemingly stressing out over it. The solution they gave me (nausea relief) was not the solution to the problem I was actually having (dog being picky with food and going on strike about it). However, they were super friendly and helpful. Decently timely.
