I have taken my dog to Br. Beggs for almost four years, and everything seemed fine. Just recently my dog needed as he said a simple and easy surgery, which we did immediatly as he directed. After the surgery she stayed under their care for two days. I brought her home following the two days, and she was miserable. We took our baby back in there every other day to get her checked on and called every single day. Every time we took her in she barely checked her, saying she is fine and recovering. ( I could see only the opposite of what this man was saying, which is why I kept bringing my dog in.) We took her in a little over a week after her surgery for the 5th time, asking if she was okay because she now could not walk and was limp. He said she was fine, and must have sprained her leg trying to jump on the couch. ( let me remind everyone, this is my dog that would pee on herself because she was to weak to walk.) 6 hours after taking to him she stopped breathing. We rushed her into the emergency room where she passed away in our arms. I knew I should have gotten a second oppinion but now, we are left miserable without our baby as he continues to do more surgeries on other peoples animals. The doctors at the animal hospital told us our whorste fears the surgery did not heal right and she had liquid in her obdominum which in turns 6 hours before Dr. Beggs said there was none. sum it up. DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR! we are left heart broken and there is nothing we can do.

Im a first time pet owner to a 5 week old kitten. The morning of May 14, 2015 she was running in the bedroom and hit her head; 10 minutes later she was found bleeding from the mouth. We rushed her to the closer veterinarian to my house when arriving it took the doctor a couple minutes to come in the room because he was yelling at his receptionist for rushing us in the room to seek medical care to our kitten. The first thing he said to us was, "have you ever been here before?" Not worried about our kitten. When we replied with a no he was very disrespectful and rude to us and told me, that he will not help me or my non breathing kitten out unless he had $500 dollars in his hand then asked us to leave when we didnt have the money. Last thing Im worried about is grabbing $500 before heading to the vet with my bleeding kitten. And this is a 24/7 emergency vet? Never again will I come back.

NO! What a RUDE MAN! We have been going to Dr. Beggs for over 10 years. We went in with a new rescue puppy recently, and he was extremely rough with the puppy and rude to us. The puppy was only 12 weeks old, and just learning what it was like to be in a family full of Love. He yelled at us that we needed to teach him discipline. No, the pupply did not try to bite him, only was nipping at him as he checked him out. Perhaps if Dr. Beggs wasnt so rough with him, he would have behaved calmer. As Dr. Beggs was lecturing us on how horrible of pet owners we are, we said we could go elsewhere. He said Good.. and gave us our papers. I was stunned. I thought he should/would apoligize for his rude behavior- but he did not. He just yelled more and was even ruder. THen he gave us the wrong papers! Perhaps he had a bad day..? Perhaps his old age has just gotten to him.

My family and I have taken all of our animals to Dr. Beggs for years. He started taking care of My family's dog not too long after he started Best Care and cared for her throughout her entire life. She lived to be 17 years old and I truly believe she would not have lived as long had she been under anyone else's care. He is extremely patient and gentle and you can tell he truly loves animals and wants what is best for them and their owners. With that being said, he's not shy about telling you what you need to do for your pet (ie training them as a puppy to not bite or nip) but he's never mean or harsh. He simply wants you and your pet to have a long happy life together. I wouldn't trust my pets to anyone else

We have been taking our cat and dog to Dr. Beggs for over 13 years. He and the rest of his staff has always been professional, personable and showed compassion, especially when our dog Chance suffered from cancer and had to be put to sleep. We even received a sympathy card from the entire staff. We now have another dog Chase that actually likes going to the vet!! We also use Best Care regularly for boarding. I would and have recommended Best Care, Dr. Beggs and the rest of his staff to anyone!

Dr. Beggs has been my vet for 30 years. He even came to my house when it was time to put my animals down over the years so they could pass in the comfort of their own home. Very knowledgable. I recommend him to all.

They got me in for an emergency visit after my dog was bitten by a squirrel. The Doctor was courteous and prompt.
