I called the clinic at 7:30am. on Sat morning and told them explicitly that our Golden Retriever Molly, was throwing up, having trouble breathing, and in a very bad way. We were put off until 11:30. When they finally saw her, they did x rays, then told us to go to the emergency clinic because she needed to be monitored over the weekend and they were closing. Despite misgivings, we did so. At the ER clinic there was one vet trying to see dozens of dogs. We were kept away from our beloved dog, who was dying, despite repeated pleas that we might sit with her. After 4 hours of waiting, they told us the x rays taken at Adel Clinic were useless. They took a new set and did an ultrasound. We were finally told that Molly had a tumor on her heart which was bleeding out and causing her not to be able to breathe. It was cancerous and there was nothing to be done, and they were not sure why the Adel clinic had not simply told us this, or diagnosed it a week earlier when she had been in to them. We asked to take her home to die, but were told it would be cruel. When we were FINALLY able to be with her, our last moments with our beloved Molly were horrendous and painful. This was the worst experience imaginable. A nightmare. We are heartbroken. And we are beyond disappointed with the care given our dog by Adel Clinic.

We brought the kids cat into the Adel vet to get her worked on. While I was waiting for the Vet to get us in the room to check out the cat...I was sitting down watching the small cats in this huge cage. And wham a small black cat was playing in the water bowl not only was he playing in it he would splash the other small cats in the cage when they would get near..I was told oh he is named after a vamp movie I was like WHAT......Nope that is Earl....And wow what a wonderful pet he talks and screams when he dont get his way...Still plays in the water bowl. He did end up with asthma now with med you would never no So I think I need to say Thank You! I almost forgot the reason why we brought the cat to Adel Veterinary Clinic. Surgery was needed. They did a great job and managed her pain with meds and her recovery was quick. Then a few months later we used the pet boarding for a week it was a wonderful thing...Thanks again

My husband and I travel full time in our motor home. Unfortunately during our 8 years of traveling, our bichon experienced several episodes of bladder stones. This afforded us opportunities to receive treatment from many different veterinary offices. Our favorite is Adel Veterinary Clinic. We found all of the personnel, the doctors, office staff and vet assistants to be very friendly and concerned not only for our dogs care but also for how we were "doing" through her surgery. They seem very up to date on vet services and treatments. When we asked questions the doctors could not answer, they took the time to research answers for us. We maintain permanent records for our dog with this office and whenever in the area, go to the Adel Vet Clinic for annual care and teeth cleaning. The pricing is fair and I cannot say enough kind words for our treatment.

We took our little Yorkie-poo to the Adel Vet Clinic after she had been walking like she was in pain and seemed to be getting worse. We had taken her to our other vet for many years and the problem went un-diagnosed and her condition was blamed on her age and possibly arthritis. After listening to her symptoms and watching her walk, Dr. Kilgore diagnosed her with a degenerative disease unique to Yorkies and said she had been in pain for a long time. She gave us many options for treatment and helped us choose what was best for our dog and what was financially reasonable for us. We have told all of our friends and family who now plan on taking their pets to Adel Vet!

We absolutely love everyone at Adel Vet Clinic. The vets and staff are loving, kind and caring. Our pug, Zeus, loved the clinic and all of the attention that he received when we would go in. Dr Holland took the journey with us when he started to go down hill and she was with us to the very end. It was rather overwhelming to know that this living creature was dependent on us for everything, even making that most difficult decision, the kindness and support that we received from them was outstanding. One day we will have a new fur baby and we will once again be regulars at Adel Vet Clinic

Through our dogs weve experienced a wide range of services with the Adel Veterinary Clinic: routine vaccinations, acupuncture, laser treatments, a very serious illness and a surgery. We find both Doctors are caring and communicate well with us on what is wrong and what needs to be done. The Vet. Technicians are knowledgeable and good with our dogs as well. We really appreciate the follow-up calls after a procedure. The Adel Clinic has seen us through the joys of bringing home a new puppy as well as helping us with the challenges of an aging senior citizen dog.

Doctor Holland has been taking care of my three fur babies for 6 years now. Mork, Mindy and Hawkeye all came from shelters and have some chronic conditions. Adel Veterinary has always taken time to make sure my babies are well cared for. Doc Holland is always on the look out for something that will help their conditions. It is wonderful that I can always get them in....when they need to be seen. All of the staff is great with the animals. They know my babies and care for them like their own. You wont go wrong with these Docs.

Adel Veterinary Clinic, specifically Dr. Holland, has been extremely helpful in caring for a dog that I started to foster and then foster failed. She had a lot of issues and with the help of a behaviorist and Dr. Holland she is almost to the point of being a functional dog instead of a shivering pile of fur. Dr. Holland took the time to listen to what I was saying and to listen to the behaviorist. I travel over 30 miles to bring my dog to see them. Keep up the good work Adel Veterinary Clinic.

Ive personally been bringing my pets to the doctors and staff at Adel for over 5years, and my family has been bringing their animals there for over 20 years. I know and trust everyone there! They acknowledge and address my worries/concerns with my older dog, and understand and work with my two little ones that can be monsters some times. Their facility is clean and welcoming. Their prices and services are quite reasonable for the quality of work they do! I would recommend them to anyone!

We heard great things about Adel Veterinary Clinic from our friends. We transferred our two 9 year old standard poodles after being dissatisfied with the client service at our longtime WDM clinic. Our first year with Adel has been great. They have a very nice facility, caring attentive staff and wonderful veterinary care. We are very pleased and more than willing to make the short drive to Adel.

They understand that pets are not just animals around the house but are members of our family. Medical visits have a cat friendly atmosphere with a blanket on the exam table and treats. Boarding visits send a postcard of thanks. The clinic also entertains humans with their word puzzle. Adel Veterinary Clinic offers big care in a small community.
