Baptist Eastpoint has the right and obligation to ensure that surgeons are using the LATEST protocol for ALL surgical procedures, HOWEVER, in many cases the surgeon simply prefers to fall back on their own, bad, comfortable habits...like unnecessary bladder catheters, which cause infections and worse. But surgeons find it faster to order catheters for ALL O.R. patients instead of spending the time to assess patients individually. And hospital nurses LOVE the convenience of NOT assisting patients to the restroom or having to bring bedpans. It happened to me at Baptist, so I suggest using a hospital AND surgeon NOT in the Baptist network !

Horrible. If giving negative star ratings was an option, I would pick that. I arrived at 9:30 pm and it was very obvious they were ready to leave. They didnt offer me any sort of medical assistance., They basically told me there was nothing they could do and shoved me out the door. They even had me sign my discharge papers in the hallway. They all walked away, leaving me no choice but to set the papers on the floor and let myself out. Very unprofessional and unhelpful. Will not be going back.

9:20 Saturday, only one other person in waiting room. Receptionist was pleasant and quickly found me in Baptist Hospital database. Nurse, John, was soft spoken and efficient. Dr. Chris Schmitt was friendly and fully explained my situation to me. The clinic sent my prescription info to the local CVS. Picked up script and had dose in me by 10:20. Could have been quicker if pharmacy crew and I hadnt chatted about local concerts! Good show all around!

One of the nurses was throwing up sick and should have been sent home long before I got there. Instead she took my vitals then I got to listen to her puke while I waited for the doctor. The walls to their exam rooms are paper thin.

The new express care that opened after the urgent care closed is so much nicer. The staff are friendly, the office was clean and my wait time was not long at all. I will be back if I get sick again!
