I had only one visit. The staff was great but the doctor was horrific. He was the rudest person I have come across in a very long time. Not only was his behavior unprofessional but his demeanor was borderline traumatic. He didnt even look at me when he came into the room. He didnt introduce himself. He didnt shake my hand. He didnt ask my name. He threw the chart down and said "why are you here?" When I tried to tell him, he rolled his eyes, shook his head, would not let me speak, would not listen, twisted my words, and made me feel like some kind of criminal for just being there. Im sure he comes across hundreds of people with back issues or migraine complaints but it is not acceptable to assume that everyone is drug-seeking or is just a "whiner". I was afraid of going to the doctor for 2 years and it was my worst nightmare. I legitimately wanted help (diagnostic imaging & referrals) to address a chronic issue and he showed no compassion or manners. He embarrassed me in front of his staff and other patients. He made me cry & I was actually scared by this man. Then he tried to intimidate me with a "brain tumor possibility" that was never mentioned before but was purely to scare me out of there and shut me up. My eyes started to tear again and he put his hand in my face and said "Im done here" and walked out on me again. The nurse was in the room that time (our second encounter when he found out he upset me) and she was speechless and looking down at the floor and offered me a complete refund afterwards on the spot because she knew the abuse was apparent but could not openly say it because he is her employer. He should not be allowed to see patients. I come from a family of doctors and aspire to be one myself & i work in a hospital...I have never seen such behavior, even in the most tired, busy, run-down interns.

Took my 17-year-old daughter here who was having a severe allergic reaction to her pain medication after her wisdom teeth were removed. Received excellent care. She was in terrible pain and was continuously vomiting. They hooked her up to an IV and gave her everything they could to quell the problem. They administered fluids, Phenergan, Benadryl and some type of pain medication. Because she was very seriously ill she had to be transferred to Baptist East Hospital via ambulance. Those at Prompt Care asked right before she was transported if we would please call them just so they know how she was- I was impressed at the concern, professionalism and their very quick thinking. In fact I wish we could have stayed at the Prompt Care because when we arrived at the ER at Baptist East she received no care at all for hours. She did get a bed, but that was the extent of it. She continued vomiting and she was basically ignored by the staff at Baptist East Hospital. She was in and out of consciousness and the only one to care for her needs there was myself. At one point, after a couple hours, she had to use the restroom. It took me the longest time to even flag down someone to assist, and at that, they told her to just use the public restroom (mind you - she could hardly walk, was still vomiting and was still hooked up to the IV that those at the Prompt Care had given her). With no assistance from the staff I ended up taking her to the restroom. The experience at Baptist East was a nightmare. By the way, after several hours she started getting better on her own and probably mostly due to what was done for her at Prompt Care. By the time a doctor saw my daughter at Baptist East (several hours after arriving there by ambulance) she was better (no thanks to them).

My husband managed to stab a screwdriver into his hand. We went to another immediate care closer to our home where we sat for nearly an hour without seeing one person in their full waiting room go back for treatment. I have always gone to this Baptist practice so I called and asked if they had a wait. The sweet woman on the other end informed me that they did not so we left and headed to Baptist. We got there 10 minutes before they were to close. They immediately checked us in, collected our co-pay and sent us back to the treatment room. They cleaned the wound, provided my husband with a tetanus shot and several stitches. The staff stayed after closing time to ensure we received the best possible care and even laughed and joked with us while we were there. On our way out, they wished us luck with our first child due in a couple of months and truly made us feel like family. We appreciate the staff at this practice so much. They did not show any signs of being frustrated that they were staying late to care for my husband. Kindness is hard to come by in this day, but the folks at Baptist are some of the nicest I have come in contact with. Thank you, all!

Although I have an excellent internist as my primary care doctor, I have been going to Baptist Health Urgent Care for over 5 years. I have referred my family and friends to this center. The physicians and staff are each professional and attentive, and all have provided my family and me with the highest quality medical attention and treatment at every visit. I have utmost respect for this health care center, and I highly recommend these doctors and staff to anyone seeking excellent, affordable, and immediate medical care in Louisville.

The staff was rude. First the nurse (ASRN) said she couldnt find me and that I had a second insurance payer. Then the nurse from hell had enough nerve to tell me to place me the thermometer in my mouth. This will be my last time here. If I have to bleed out, this would be the last place I come too.

BEWARE!!! If you have insurance & are in a Preferred Provider program, it is the DOCTOR - NOT the facility - that will determine whether or not your insurance will cover the visit. AND THE FACILITY IS NTO GOING TO INFORM YOU IF YOUR DOCTOR IS NOT IN YOUR NETWORK. LET THE INJURED BEWARE!!!
