Horrible experience with this vet. We are filing a claim with BB. Dr. Snyder misinformed us that our dog was in heat twice. After getting 2 second opinions, we realized she was negligent in her examination of our bulldog. We also found the front staff to be rude and standoffish towards our family in addition to brushing off our concerned questions regarding our pit bull. On one occasion they called us at 5:50 to pick up our dog by 6pm. We also found this clinic to be priced 40% higher than other vets in the area on all procedures. If you care about your pets, steer clear of this clinic.

New to the area, I discovered the Anchorage Animal Hospital when I had a pet emergency with one of our dogs. Then, and again most recently when I had the occasion to bring both of my own dogs, and my sons in for care, both minor nail trims and a more serious ear infection, I was again impressed by the un-rushed attention, full explanations and expertise of all of the staff encountered. Also impressive is the aftercare, follow-up call the next day to check on progress.

These people are great. We love Dr. Gries. She took plenty of time with us and explained everything. Weve met and talked to two different receptionists and liked both. One asked if it was OK before giving the dog a treat which I really appreciated. The other was incredibly helpful in a way that I did not ever expect. We previously used a vet office a little closer to our home--these people are worth the drive.

We love Dr. Gries at Anchorage Animal Hospital! And so do our two doggies and four kitties! Shes taken care of all of them since birth and they are six happy and healthy wonder-animals who dont mind going to the vet to see her! All the docs, techs and office folks at AAH are just wonderful. Very professional and very very caring toward us and our four-legged fur-kids! Cant say enough good things about them!

we made an appt for our 9mos puppy who has some eye issues. Dr. Gaines went over everything he was doing and made us feel comfortable in the office. front office staff was very nice and pickle the cat was cute too! we also like that its close to our house.
