I will give one star because the lady that does your eye mapping and measurements is very friendly and the young man that does the eyewear is friendly as well. I cant say the same for the front desk girl she is a rude smart alec. I had an exam and ordered glasses, they were sent back for the third time because of not being made correctly. The prescription is correct but the lenses are scratched and crazed due to lab error. I was told by the manager she cannot control the lab. The manager also got upset when I asked for a refund telling me that they have been so busy and understaffed. I understand but hardly my problem. After my second trip and incorrectly made lenses and after asking (not offered) for a pair of simple lenses made there I was offered a "loner" pair of glasses that would be made and ready for me no later than 5 that afternoon. Needless to say I did not get a call to pick those up and no call the next day. When I got there was told they (loner glasses) were ready and the reason no one called me was because there were "only two people working". After my third trip to Louisville in two weeks I have given up, gotten a refund ( whether they get insurance refunded correctly is yet to be seen) and will be going somewhere else. I really like Dr Goodman hope he can get a new lab or some organization within his office. Until then we will be moving on elsewhere.

After having positive memories of this place as a kid, I decided to return with my business when I moved back to area. The initial eye evaluation was wonderful but only after this one visit, my perception of this place would greatly change. I have had trouble ordering contacts (after the second time I decided to order contacts which prompted a lack of communication on their part to let me know my contacts were in, so I decided to order from an online source). After a period of time, I decided to try and order glasses because of a impromptu business trip and I was low on contacts. I was reluctant at first but was quickly assured by the staff many times that my glasses would be done that afternoon. After waiting throughout the day with no response from them, I called 30 minutes before the store would close, only to have my question answered with a rude tone. So fast forward to this morning, I decided to walk into the store this morning only to be welcomed by excuse after excuse on why glasses were not done. Apparently my lens was too thick to cut (because I didnt pay for the polycarb lens which I never have had a problem getting my prescription before in a day from my previous doctors office) I know its BS, and this is the last time I waste my money with these people.

In my opinion, my experience at Hurstbourne EYEMART was terrible. I purchased a pair of unique clear frames and lenses for my son in March of this year (2016) He loved them!! UNTIL...the clear frame began to turn yellow and then the hardware on the arm that attaches to the frame snapped completely off. Ugh...so today, I took the glasses back in to have them repaired. (I thought) Well, the clerk and a gentleman that also works at Hurstbourne EYEMART explained to me that because I did not **request** coverage on the frames when I initially purchased them, there was nothing that they could do. However, I was not offered additional coverage on the frames when I initially purchased them. The solution he recommended was that I purchase ANOTHER of the same exact pair at half off. REALLY???? Now why would I do that? My son and I both have been clients of Hurstbourne EYEMART for several years...at least 6. I have never had this problem before in any of the past purchases Ive made with Hurstbourne EYEMART. Needless to say, I will no longer make the drive from downtown Louisville to Hurstbourne EYEMART... when I pass up at least 10 other places to buy eyeglasses on the way. These guys really disappointed me.

I needed contacts so I went there this past summer. Horrible experience, the people at the front desk were so rude, I looked at glasses also and the only time I could get any help was when I was looking at the designer frames or higher costing ones, the girl who was helping me was obviously very into making her commission cause thats the only time she was willing to help. She was obviously never taught how just have good customer service the doctor was OK but was definitely more interested in making a sale and talking about how the sales work and etc than making sure I was happy. Just not a good place if you have expectations of how you should be treated and if you expect good customer service. Also when I was ordering my contacts, I was charged full price which is fine, however while I was paying a customer walked in that the doctor or staff obviously knew and they were given a discount along with more trials. I was FLOORED!!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with an eye doctor! RUN away from this place. I purchased a year supply of contacts from this place. First they tried to over charge me with my co-pays. I got into an argument with one of the doctors about that before he would correct it. I have had a problem with my contacts every since they were new. One time I went to see if they could look at them, and correct the problem, I was literally, chewed out by the other doctor, before he even looked at my eyes. The doctor started by telling me that he had about lost his patiences, with patients! And it went down hill from their. I thought we were going to get into a fist fight before I could get out of the examining room! I am currently having to go through Bausch and Lomb, to have the problem corrected. Both of the doctors at this place are the most unprofessional people I have ever had the misfortune of having to do business with in my life!

I made an appointment for my sons, ages 5 and 6, to have their eyes checked before school started back. There was two women working in the front part of the store that were friendly, but two rude women working behind the desks. I waited 45 minutes past my appointment time to be called back, at which point I was already frustrated because my sons (naturally) were bored and hungry, and ready to leave. The doctor was not at all kind or patient to my sons. He actually raised his voice to my oldest at one point for touching something in the exam room, and told my youngest to "keep quiet" during his brothers exam. I shook my head to myself, paid my copay, and will not ever return. I think this place would be okay for an adult, but I would never recommend for someone with children.

My experience at this location has been a little disappointing. I purchase a pair of plastic frames and had to bring them back three times for repair. The ear piece that was not even connected to the screw broke. I was told that they could give me a another pair that was not by that brand w/$100 off, the selection was limited and if I wanted to use my back up repair it would cost additional $363. because I max the health cost for this year. The designer frames seem to be very dated. Going forward, the staff was very nice, some reliant other a little stand offish about the situation. If anyone decides to purchase from this company think twice. ONCE AND IF MY GLASSESS ARE RETURNED TO ME, I WILL NOT EVER GO TO THIS COMPANY AGAIN FOR EYEWARE. BUYERS BEWARE
