I am so thankful that we chose Narconon Louisiana to send our child who was batteling drug addiction for many years. What a wonderful program! If you are looking for a place to help a loved one beat drug addiction in a safe and natural way, Narconon Louisiana is the place to go. The staff is helpful and always available. If I had any questions or concerns about my child, a staff member would talk to me and answer all of my questions honestly. As a mother nothing is more important than knowing that your child is safe and happy. It was hard to admit and face the reality that my child had a drug addiction. I felt like a failure as a parent and alone. I researched other facilities in my city and found nothing long term that could help my child to get sober in a natural and drug free way. By the grace of God, I found Narconon Louisiana. We made arrangements with a staff member and my child was picked up and brought to Narconon that day. It was the best decision as a mother I could have made for my child. I later learned that I am not alone and that so many young adults are using drugs. Often drugs are used to help cope and escape reality. Narconon teaches the students how to approach difficult situations without the use of drugs and that the decisions you make are your own and you are in control of the outcome. Yes the program is Scientology based and as a practicing Roman Catholic mother this information never concerned me. The Scientology Religion is not taught to the students. Narconon Louisiana honors all religions. If a student wants to attend church, services, or mass a staff member will take them. They are not trying to convert anyone to become a Scientologist. The goal is to teach the students how to live a drug free life. My child is now living a drug free life using the tools he learned from Narconon and I am a very proud mother. Opening your eyes to the realitiy that your child has a drug addiction is very hard and as a mother you never want to accept. But, as a mother you have to open your eyes and get your child the help he/she needs to live a clean and sober life. Thank you Narconon Louisiana for giving me my child back and helping my family. I will forever be greatful!

Listen to me- there are hundreds of thousands of different programs to send your loved ones to, mostly twelve step programs. I will tell you the pros and cons of this place- and cold hard truth about your family member struggling with addiction. When I went into the Narconon program, I was on all of the hard drugs. I grew up in a Christian family, and my mom was hesitant to send me somewhere which is founded on Scientology beliefs. Truth is- i was on drugs, I didnt believe or care about anything- so push the Scientology thing aside. Cons- They do tell you it isnt Scientology, but it is based off of Scientology principles, it says that on their website, so if you have some strong hatred for Scientology dont send a family member there and get mad later. There also isnt a psychologist on site, there is a nurse and a doctor, but the "therapies" are being done by very intelligent, ex-users themselves. (I personally liked this aspect, but still believe there should be a therapist, even for group therapies once a week or something) Pros- I AM 5 YEARS SOBER! I am graduating in 8 weeks and will be a psychologist (maybe I will go work at Narconon, who knows?) I NEVER relapsed. When I was there I thought some of the things we had to do was ridiculous, but in hindsight its what helped me. I am not sure if I believe in their success rate, but that depends on if the person wants help- and I truly believe that. When I went home I stayed home for months out of fear of running into someone I knew. I even had an old drug buddy call me asking for help and I denied her because I didnt trust myself. Regardless of my story, Narconon changed my life. We ended on a somewhat sour note, and I have actually tried reaching some of the counselors, but never got through. I am about to graduate college and get married to an amazing man. I have never been so happy in my life. THANK YOU NARCONON. Oh, and for all of the people thinking they are trying to convert your religion or whatever- my Christian faith is stronger than ever, and the Scientology principles are basically simple psychology that everyone should read up on. Good luck and God bless!

narconon louisiana saved my life! this was was my 5th rehab center and it worked! (the 4 previously were 12 step that never even somewhat measured up to what narconon louisiana has done). I will have 3 years clean this december. i went from nothing to more than i could have ever asked for. they are not about the money.. so what that mayann m lady said on a review, doesnt know what shes talking about.. of course like any other business, services need to be paid for but they never ask for more and provide much more than promised. its been a few years now and i still get regular phone calls from staff to catch up except now a days, we are more like friends than calling to help me handle something or "check on me" and i know i am not the only one they do this for. i have gotten others into narconon who are still clean and are living successful lives. today i have my family, a college degree, a career, financially independent, i raise my child, i have my own home, car, and an actual saving account with money in it haha (only people that ever struggled with addiction will see that last one huge!).. this may seem normal to some to have at 28 years of age but before narconon i had none of these things. narconon doesnt just get you away from drugs.. its shows you how to create your own life without drugs and more importantly to make great choices that you actually want to make. last but not least it actually shows you the way to be happy. (something i struggled with in previous rehabs.. i could get off the drugs, but was never happy). Anyone looking a solution to addiction and not just a place to get away from drugs for a while.. choose this place! its the best decision i have ever made. -Jennifer

This place really can help you if you actually want help. Dont listen to other post that rag on it just because it uses L Ron Hubbards teachings. They did not actually go through the program and have no idea what theyre talking about. They just saw L Rons name and freaked out thinking this place is a front for Scientology. A place to indoctrinate people when they are at their weakest. I talked crap about Scientology and L Ron while I was there and it still helped me.No one tries to make you join the church. These arent crazy religious ideas they are preaching but individual methods that have been around for ages that L Ron just compiled into a book to help drug addicts. Honestly though , if it helps you better your life, who cares who came up with the idea. The staff is awesome and will literally go above and beyond to make sure you are happy and well treated. No one tries to suppress you beliefs. You wanna go to church, Jewish temple,Buddhist temple, mosque, whatever... you can go. Whatever your race, sexual preferences , age , sex, it doesnt matter. If you want help , you get help.
