Be careful with this company. I brought my 2 children to Washington smiles. Before I went there I called and asked them about my insurance coverage. They told me they accept it and we went ahead with some minor work and exams. I got an "estimate" from them for all of the work needed for just over 370$ and decided to continue with their care. A couple weeks later I got a bill in the mail stating my insurance barely covered anything and the bill for only half of the work done was about double the "estimate" for all of the work to be done. I immediately called and asked why the bill was so much higher and they told me that they were an out of network provider. I asked why I wasnt told that to begin with and they said "we accept all insurance, but if you are out of network it will be higher." The person on the phone then told me she would "work with me." They also stated they should have told us initially that they were out of network and werent sure why I wasnt told. I waited for their call back, when I got that call back they said there was no change to the bill and "working with me" was giving me a payment plan. I then tried to switch to another dentist due to Washington Smiles being out of network. Before switching I verified several times with the provider and insurance company that they were in network. I asked for my childrens records to be sent to the new dentist. I was told by the person from Washington Smiles that the new dentist didnt take my insurance. I called the new provider back and they said we were covered, along with checking my insurance company website, and they didnt know why Washington Smiles told us that. It seems to me Washington Smiles is saying they take any insurance and then when they dont, or people are out of network, people get back doored with a huge bill. Yes, I should have double checked but they know who they accept and who they dont and should have passed that information to me as a customer. Also, it seems to me they are trying to discourage us from going to another dentist. It makes me wonder about their entire practice and how much of the work that was recommended is actually necessary or if they are trying to run up my bill. It seems dishonest to tell me another company wont accept my insurance, as a matter of fact I believe its none of their business at that point. So if you are going to this dentist MAKE SURE your insurance is accepted and IN NETWORK as they wont tell you and let you find out for yourself later.....

Im typically terrified of the dentist its like pulling teeth (pun intended) to get me to go to the dentist. I had an accident that knocked my front tooth out,it was a holiday weekend and no body with in miles could see me I was going to be left with out a front tooth until my husband called Washington smiles they made and early emergency appointment that same day for a root canal couldnt save the tooth as it was broke but they made me a temporary tooth in office sent me to a shade specialist and 2 weeks later they put my new one in. It looks so real and like the rest it is crazy!!!The entire staff there are simply amazing the assistants wiped my sweat slobber tears stood and comforted me ect.. The dentist there is the best dentist Ive ever come across she cares and her goal is your teeth and appearance she understands when u have a phobia and worked with me to feel calm And get through it with ease. I have since switch my entire family to them and some friends I would give them 100 stars if that were possible!!! Way to go staff at Washington smiles, you made my smile bright!!

The building appears new. The reception was very pleasant. The waiting room was set up to allow people to sit with or away from others. There is an area to watch TV, a sitting area next to an electric fireplace, an area for children to play with a Lego table and an iPad as well. I did have to wait about 15 minutes past my appointment time. The dental hygienist was very friendly and personable. They seem to have the latest technology such as X-ray machines in the area that you are cleaned so you dont have to go to another area. The dentist was also friendly and seemed quite knowledgeable.

Worst experience Ive ever had with a dentist. Rude office staff, extremely unpleasant smell in bathroom, dentist talked like he was mentally challenged, and the consultation took almost three hours....that was just for the wait and x-rays. Thank goodness I wasnt scheduled for anything more elaborate than that. Dont waste your time or money on this place. If I hadnt been so bored Id call this mess a circus.

We are new to this office, but we already love the staff. We have three young children and the staff were very friendly and patient with them, they went out of their way to make my childrens first visit enjoyable. The facility is clean and welcoming and the technology is top level. Dr. Smith was knowledgeable, thorough, and caring. I believe they truly value their patients, and it definitely shows.

I have had many bad experiences with dentist. My first time going to Washington Smiles was amazing. They are all beyond nice. They make sure you are comfortable. My dental hygienist is one of the nicest people. We talk like we are friends. I absolutely love this place and recommend it to everyone that needs dental work.

Moved in to the area about two years ago and was searching for a family friendly dentist. Dr. Smith and her staff have been wonderful. They are always on time, and have a great facility. They have a personal touch that makes you feel comfortable for all your dental needs. Thank You Washington Smiles ;-) Mark C.

I havent been to a dentist in several years. I was a bit nervous going in, but everybody from the receptionist, to the woman who did my check in, the hygienist, and the doctor were extremely kind and helpful. I will have to go back for more treatment in the future, but now I have no worries about getting seen.

Poorly run, over charging and dishonest when confronted about it... If you look at the other reviews many are 5 star and all the rest are one star... When they make a mistake and are confronted they change there medical notes to cover there butts... Be very careful when dealing with these guys...

This place has contradictory pricing policies based on the insurance industry and not on customer service, logic or good business practices. She is out to make the most money from insurance companies at the expense of individuals. Is there a good, ethical dentist out there?
