Very dissatisfied; Im sorry I went there; Ive always had relatively simple dental appointments; the only major problem Ive had was a filling and a root canal. I didnt think it would be a big deal to use a chain dentist. We did fine until they got to my mouth; we were given many recommendations. I chose to start with the decay that was worst in a molar. There were also a couple of other fillings recommended. Three fillings in one day. After I was so sensitive. I couldnt even drink regular temp tap water without searing sensitivity. I called back the next day asking to get back in-- this was not normal. They couldnt see me til the following week. I asked Abbey the front desk gal to work me in because this was not normal. She could not. So I waited. I should not have waited. He adjusted my bite and said to let it calm down for two weeks. I said ok; the extreme sensitivity did not calm down and the pain was still there, so I called Dr. Mace in Washington to review. This was now two weeks after the original work. Theres a hole in one filling (he took pics in my mouth and showed me) and the other fillings looked chipped and one was not tight--food was catching like crazy. He questioned if the filling on the main molar was going to be ok because it was so poor. Dr Mace also reviewed the proposed treatment plan: a proposed crown replacement was not necessary! I felt so naive and sheepish! Because I had experienced good dentistry in my history, I just figured that it would be fine. I could save money on the cleanings. But the fillings were no more expensive than Dr Mace to fix the work done by the dentist at Aspen. After this experience, I read reviews online and realized this company has many complaints. I didnt do a lot of homework. I just was new in the area and wanted to get back on track with cleanings because we had gotten off our dental hygiene schedule with our move and getting settled... And yep, it was not a good choice. I do not recommend them at all. Update: because the previous work was so poor and by the time I got into a spot in Dr Maces office, I ended up with root canal; I had to be on penicillin and prescription strength Tylenol just to bear the pain until the appointment with Dr Mace. I cannot believe this Dr Lowe did not listen to me when I said the pain I was experiencing was not normal. His work brought me more pain than I actually had before going to this office. I plan on continuing to tell everyone I know about the problems I encountered.

I have overall good oral hygiene, but just recently got insurance. I went in just as a check up and preventative care. I had zero pain in my mouth before my visit. I went in and was told I needed fillings on both sides of my mouth. The fillings got done quickly but I had lingering pain whenever I would chew. Dr. Lowe said it was just a high spot. I went in on several occasions over the next 3 months, with him grinding down "the excess" each time. The drill he used always seemed to behave oddly, according to him. The pain never subsided. Finally at the 3 month mark he decided to take X-rays again, but didnt see any problem. He would constantly talk down to me, and use the same tired explanation that I was just grinding my teeth while I sleep. I waited another couple weeks and called again wanting a solution (Id only been able to eat very soft foods like yogurt or at most hamburger this whole time). He prescribed me antibiotics and said if that didnt work after a week he would have to send me off to get a root canal. He basically was tired of dealing with me. So after a week, the pain didnt stop so I made an appointment with another facility. In 30 seconds the doc identified that Lowe had completely missed a cavity on the bite surface of one of the teeth (Which is all the more infuriating with how often Lowe was working in my mouth and never saw this.) And a follow up X-ray revealed the other tooths filling stuck out noticeably from the side of the tooth, trapping stuff in it and probably missing a cavity underneath. Because I had the teeth filled already, my insurance would no longer cover the fix to Dr. Lowes negligence. So I will have to pay out of pocket. Dr. Lowe is a butcher and I would stay far away from this dental corporation.

The Washington, MO Aspen Dental office has THE BEST staff I have EVER experienced. My service was so fast! They always made sure there was time for me and treated me like I was the only patient they had. Even if one of the employees didnt have to tend to me, they still stopped in to say hi and ask how I was. Dr. A is the BEST dentist. The BEST. I will never go anywhere else or see any other dentist. She pulled my teeth and put in an u per denture and it looks SO GOOD! Joe made my denture look so nice that you cant tell they arent my real teeth! Dr. A did such a good job that I am healing beautifully without problems. I was already tackling solid food on day three because she did such a good job that I was comfortable enough and strong enough in the healing process to handle some of it. Theyre explanatory, non-judgemental, and just great people to have in your life, in general. I trust them for my oral care and the oral care of my family and YOU NEVER HAVE TO WAIT! Thank you to that team of professionals!

I have been a dental assistant for 21 years, and teaching dental assisting for the last 3 years. Dr Lowe placed a filling that had to be "repaired" 2 times. This dentist will never work on me or anyone I know ever again. He attempted to work on me with glasses that were bloody from a prior patient as well. He told another staff member about some of my private health information. He was also very rude to me. I have filed a complaint with Aspen, OSHA, HIPAA, and the Missouri Dental Board about the issues with this dentist. This dentist is why this field has such a bad name. ....Saying this the rest of the office were quite nice, but they did not have to work in my mouth. Please make sure they have a different dentist before you go to this location. Just so you know, this would not let me post without any stars, that is why there is one.

I drove 2 hours to get there to come to find out the surgeon was not under my dental insurance. I called my insurance and the Aspen Dental Office in Washington two days before to find out if the surgeon was under my plan and they both told me yes. So I wasted one full day at work put on many miles went threw road construction to find this out. The staff on hand was very nice!! When I called my insurance company back they said it was the responsibility of Aspen Dental to let my insurance know of this information. My insurance company must send something to Aspen and they have not changed this information. So please update your records!! I sure hope you dont charge me for anything that was done at the Washington office when we were there -- if so maybe I should send you a bill for my hours, mileage and short of patients. DH
