My in-laws and I have been taking our pets there for quite some time. My in-laws have had very little problems, health wise, with their pets and find them to work quite well for their needs. However, my husband and I agree that they are quite incompetent in several ways. We have a very, very friendly 3 year old Akita. He is well socialized and so sweet that he has his own pet cat! They handle our sweet dog as if he is a vicious bear and scare him to the point he growls. He doesnt growl at anyone else. Im so disappointed in the way the vets (mainly the woman) handle the pets. Ive had two cats and both she barely touches and will only do so when they are being held down. She has no passion for the pets she sees and I wonder why she has become a vet in the first place. As for their knowledge, it is terrible. Pushing special and damn expensive food is not the way to fix our pets. My dog has a crusty nose and they told us that nothing but this special food would fix it and if that didnt fix it, nothing would. Well, we searched the internet for a year and found simply taking an antihistamine twice a day would clear it up. Lo and behold, it did. Some vet. We adopted a cat from a shelter and she is having wheezing and poo problems. They told me that it was likely a simple virus like a cold, gave her a $100 shot and said she would be fine. They said there was no need to check for worms or other problems that arise when in a pet has been around many other pets in close quarters. I am very disappointed in this place. Their staff, their vets, and their prices are unbelievable. I would suggest you keep searching, like me, for another vet to take care of those furry parts of your family.

I used to work for Companion Animal several years ago. I cant say enough great things about the staff and the Hartlines. They are all wonderful people and go above and beyond to make sure the client and their animal are well taken care of. This clinic has some of the top of the line equipment, so that the patients can receive the best care possible. Thank you Dr. Glen and Dr. Kate for all that you do. Yall are a wonderful example of great, christian veterinarians.I hope that I can make as big of an impact on the veterinary profession and the Shreveport community as yall have.

I took her to Companion because I wanted something close to me and I saw the reviews on the internet. Im so glad I did. The staff and doctor was so professional and friendly. They made me feel so comfortable. They explained everything they were gonna do and gave the price before performing services. We love the doctors and staff at Companion Animal Medical Center! They treat our pets like they are their own. We have been going for over 10 years and could not imagine going somewhere else. We have and have had many pets throughout the years and have laughed and cried with the staff. We love our babies and always feel like they receive first rate care! I ALWAYS recommend Companion to anyone who asks (and even those that dont)!

Zoey is 5 years old and has been a patient for 4 years. I cannot imagine taking her anywhere else!! Everyone knows her name and loves her. She is treated lovingly and we both know that each and every visit will be a caring one!!! Oh yes, her groomer there is one of the very best!!!

Great Place! I have a dog that has a very serious condition where she is destroying her own red cells. Dr. Kate Hartline found out what was wrong very quickly and saved my dog Peppers life! The staff is also very nice and go out of their way to make Pepper feel special.

The staff at Companion Animal Medical Center made my experience tolerable when I had to euthanize my cat. Their name says it all because they showed compassion. They sent a sympathy card to my home which was over and beyond. Im glad that I chose them.
