The nurses are the only reason Im not giving this office a 1! We had a 7 am appointment ... just to find out he is still at the hospital till 8 doing his rounds. After getting over WAITING 1 1/2 hours in a freezing room where the air vents were clogged w/ dust, he finally showed his face to check on my newborn w/ a man I assume was some type of understudy! Neither had much personality! He walks in, asks me to put him on the table, checks his private area and asks WHEN (not if) Im going to circumcise my son. I kindly told him I was not and he very quickly and rudely asked WHY? I didnt feel it was his business but told him why anyway! THEN before I had a chance to breathe he and the other doctor proceeded to tell me why I was making a mistake! I still didnt care to hear their opinions or the prices of it to be done as my son got older! And to top it off...I had 3 questions that were simple and was not able to get ONE of them out because he talked all the way till he closed the door behind himself! My husband was beyond livid!! I switched doctors the same day! On another note...they didnt seem to care either that they had a very sick girl in the well side of the office! There is a sick side of a reason! Im NEVER one to complain but this was just completely the worst experience Ive ever had!

Dr. Hathorn is an old school doctor and the boys love him. His nurses are usually pretty sweet and efficient. I know some people may complain about the wait but he has tons of patients, doesnt turn people away very often (everybodys gotta call it a day at some point otherwise itd be a 24 hour clinic), and lets face it, hes primarily a medicaid doctor...youre going to wait in a medicaid office. I worked in a doctors office that was primarily medicaid patients and guess what THEY HAD TO WAIT. He found an issue with my son that most other doctors Im sure would have never been able to identify. I never wonder if Dr. Hathorn knows what hes doing because hes been doctoring a long time and if it can be seen in a patient, Im sure hes already seen it and has an answer.

Personally, I think Dr. Hathorn is a wonderful doctor. When I went there I was having seizures, and no other doctors would even try to figure out why I was having them because I have been having them since I was 8 days old. Dr. Hathorn sent me to get test done, and he didnt stop until we figured out exactly what was wrong with me!! He is a great doctor and I would recommend him to everyone. Yes, the wait is sometimes a little long, but I would rather wait for a great doctor then sit in a waiting room and wait for a doctor who wont even try to figure out whats wrong with the child. I will take my children there if he is still around when I have em. :)
