So, at first it seemed good enough. He said my dog was over-weight, needed exercise. I got my dog at a shelter about 4 years ago, she weighed barely 72 pounds and was malnourished according to the shelter. Now she weighs 81, but the vet said she needed to drop down to 62 pounds. Trying to convince me my dog was 20 pounds overweight, uhh, that would KILL her. I started to realize he may not be the most keen vet (hey, they can be idiots just like the rest of us) when he started pulling out the used car salesman on me. "Oh well your mom had cancer you need to keep your dog on heartworm medication the entire time, shes more susceptible to parasites because of her weakened immune blah blah blah!", as well as "You need to have her on flea medication at all times". I could almost hear the "cha-ching" of the cash register going off in his head. So then I referenced some literature suggesting that flea medications are very toxic and have shown signs of being causal agents for cancer in dogs, and he blankly stared at me and said, "No ive never heard of that". Guys, this man is out for your money. Not to mention they squeezed in a secret "stool sample analysis" fee of about 18 bucks without telling me-- they just handed me a plastic vile and said goodbye... I had no idea they had charged me for it. When I didnt bring it back Ashley, the dental assistant or something, called me and said, "You prepaid for this, so you are REQUIRED to bring it in!". When I called back and called ashley out on their shady business tactics, she said that I had no choice but to bring it in because it was REQUIRED of me. I was REQUIRED to pay them 17 dollars to have the BLESSING of bringing my dog to them. This after a number of blood tests were already done. Anyway, they said they required it, and that it was a mandate and not a choice (nowhere in State or Federal law does it claim this to be required). My suggestion is this, if its an emergency and theyre available, go for it.. your pet matters. If you have a choice, and want an HONEST vet who isnt going to yank your chain, go somewhere else.

We brought our new puppy for his first visit about four weeks ago. He did have a problem with worms which we had suspected. Later we learned that his other littermates shared this First the staff answered our questions by phone when we called to make the appointment. Secondly the lady vet gave the young dog a thorough exam after asking us questions. She answered all of our questions, handled our dog professionally, and left us with a positive feeling. We were pleased by the visit. Look forward to next visit

We brought our cats in for a routine check up and shots. They were super friendly and explained everything they did. Checked out our cats and even trimmed their claws for free. They really made us feel like important customers and took excellent care of our cats. Plus the pricing was very reasonable compared to a lot of places in the area.

We took our Dog and her name is Peaches Peters to Timberland Animal Hospital. They done tests on her and she is very sick and we want to know how she is . But they were very good with her and we were very pleased with the treatment that she got from there and would not go anywhere else for our dogs care.
