I had a dying dog, we were new to the area and our Pug was is obvious pain and we had been recommended this vet for loving care. When we brought out dog in, the receptionist told us that she did not believe she could take us because they were short staffed, they did not even come out and see the dog, I had to call from another city and discuss exactly what and why my husband was there. When the nurse finally came out(15minutes later) my Pug had three more seizures and at this point he could not hold his bowels, urine and was have extreme difficulty breathing. The nurse had absolutely NO compassion until she had to hold this dying suffering animal. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS VET TO ANYONE AND I WILL NEVER! BRING MY ANIMALS HERE AGAIN.

This is the place to go for emergency trauma. Doctor Rees DVM knows how to treat her patients wounds/illnesses and their owners. My cat was a serious case, attacked by a coyote; my cats life was very uncertain when I rushed her to Schoodic Animal Hospital. A week and a discounted price later, we were able to take our cat from the hospital and she has made a full recovery! We call her the Miracle Cat now, and Doctor Rees is a Miracle Doctor. Also, all the staff are very prompt, friendly, and personable, and the hospital itself has a garden and memorial for the deceased, very nice. Going here for emergency and routine pet care was the best decision I ever made.

We are visiting the area and called for an appointment because our 2 year old Corgi was obviously unwell. We got an appointment in less than 4 hours and the Dr. was wonderful. Our appointment was on a Friday and on Sunday the Dr. called to ask how Lilly was responding and make suggestions for follow-up. We would recommend Schoodic Animal Hosp to anyone who asks, but make an appointment, dont just rush in and expect to be seen on a drop everything basis. Thanks Docs and staff, you were wonderful.

Love this crew. Down to earth and on point with diagnosis. Very loving and caring. Although, the summer "residents" flock here for yearly checkups and emergencies, Schoodic Animal Hospital still fits us in and gets our dogs and cats back to happy and healthy! Thank you!
