If I could leave less than 1 I would. I recently took ownership of a friends cats that had been here around 2010 for a nearly full dental extraction. He had a tendency to gulp food and not chew at all resulting in a lot of vomit. I was told by my friend he has always been that way. Recently taking him to my vet they decided his remaining tooth needed removal and when they did xrays found numerous tooth shards from the previous removal. Turns out the fact that his mouth has hurt for the past 4-5 years is why he has been gulping and vomiting. Neither myself nor the cats previous owner is very happy at this. It is not okay to perform a procedure that leaves an animal in discomfort for this long

I have used this clinic for many years now and have always had excellent service. It is a busy place and you may not be seen instantly but that is what happens with a vet office! The technicians are wonderful and warm, Dr. Mark Fine is the owner of the business and fantastic, and every vet he has hired shares the mission of excellent care. I have recommended them to numerous folks over the years and have always heard great reports back, including from people who were visiting who had to zoom in with an emergency (like, porcupine quills).

My wife and I have been using this office for over two years, and while not every experience has been bad, their customer service is severely lacking. Inattentive and dismissive workers at the phone and desk is the norm, and turnover in veterinarians means we need to haul our cats into the office when we need a prescription because each new vet needs to meet them fresh. Not terrible, but dont expect any kind of great personal service here.

Fantastic!! Im visiting from out of town, my dog suddenly had a bug bite with a red ring around it...I was immediately concerned...I stopped in without an appointment. The doctor came out right away and informed me it was a black fly bite, not a tick, and I shouldnt worry....pheww!! What a relief and thanks for the world class service!!! I feel confident vacationing here with has such a great vet near by

Our Chow Chow, Chauncey had a severely lame rear leg in July while visiting Bar Harbor. The vet and staff took very good care of him and properly diagnosed the problem. My vet back in Virginia agreed with the diagnosis, continued the antibiotic treatment and Chauncey is back to his old self. Thanks!!!!

While visiting Maine our dog stepped on a porcupine. We called Acadia Vet and they took care of her right away. The staff was great on the phone and in person. The veterinarian was pleasant and helpful.
