Switched dentists mid-treatment - awful experience. I chose Dr. Handlesmans office because it was close to work. I should have looked a lot harder before settling. -The desk staff faithfully scheduled appointments gave me appointment cards and failed to mark it in the computerized calendar (this happened a few times). -Dr. H is a dealer for Invisalign. As an adult with a decent set of chompers it was odd to hear him push the fact that I needed these so badly. Like most of the middle class, the money for braces goes to my 14 year old at point. -I was told he could do my root canal and was then sent to Annapolis Endodontics: Louis Berman DDS. (another awful experience) (Will be writing a separate review for this guy). Horrible chair side manner. Felt very uncomfortable, rushed. -On an occasion that I was improperly scheduled Dr. Handlesman pushed my crown treatment off for another visit due to over booking. He said it looked good and I could go a bit longer with out the full treatment being completed. This was when I decided to stop going to this dentist. I dont have a fear of the dentist and rather like going ( love the feeling of dentist cleaned teeth) but after so many mishaps it was clear that this was not a professional environment. After several months I sought out another dentist and had to have a cleaning done etc. I was still screwed by this dentist office. Back to the awesome staff. A pricey cleaning treatment was not submitted to the insurance company and it over lapped with the time that I could get another done. That one came out of my pocket. Icing on cake. I had to ask 3 times for x-rays to be sent to the new office. This is 3 additional times on top of the two that the new office also requested records. I wish i could give negative stars...

I had a root canal at Dr. David Handelsmans office and was expecting a lot of pain and discomfort. Dr. Handelsman put me at ease right away with his jovial manner and his interest in my feelings. He explained the procedure with great detail, which helped me be less anxious. He shared that the procedure has been updated with the latest technology and I should feel very little discomfort. He was right! My experiences in his office are always professional and much more pleasant that I expect. His office staff is organized and professional and the free parking in downtown Annapolis couldnt be more convenient.

Bad bad bad. Everytime Ive been here, Dr. H tried to upsell me on teeth whitening, $1,200 bite guards, and whatever else he insists that I need....(even while my mouth was numb from fillings!!) I was blessed with poor teeth from heredity. All I wanted was good, reliable dental care and I feel like all they care about here is getting my money. I had a filling done here that was "deep" and then Dr. H insisted that I needed a root canal. I refused and sure enough, my tooth nerve calmed down and Im fine 6 months later. Im looking for a new practice.

I have always been a dental chicken, finding David was a blessing. I had serious issues with my teeth and he resolved them. I find him highly professional and he has made my dental problems almost fun. I never feel pressured to purchase any services I do not need, and in fact he has made himself available anytime I call or text him. In addition I must add that David educated me on my dental problems and I understand that just because the pain subsides does not mean its a permanent fix. I again HIGHLY recommend David !

I went for Invisalign as well as multiple cleanings and have always been impressed! I recommend him to all my friends!

I went to Dr. Handelsman and had a root canal and a crown done. I like going to the dentist just as much as the next person (which is to say not that much :) ) and had a GREAT experience. He calmed my nerves and the procedure was painless. Definitely recommend.
