Yesterday, I went into a new chiropractor for throwing my back out--- again. My previous local Chiropractor never ran X-rays, only did adjustments and tried shoveling scripts down my throat, which I always refused. I wanted to feel the pain, no matter how bad, because I dont agree to numbing anything. Yesterday, the new Dr ran X-rays and performed about 2 hrs worth of tests. Then, sat me down for the bad news and today was more bad news. That the newly discovered scoliosis wasnt even his biggest concern, but my slipped disc and lowered pelvic were with my neck being a massive concern. This time, I didnt cry. I listened to his thorough, non surgical rehabilitation plan the next 6 months. In 3 months, we will reaccess and hes hoping for as low as a 30% improvement to as hopeful as a 60%. While Im too old to lessen the 20 degrees scoliosis, even with a brace and all other treatments--- We can strive to minimize any increased degrees. I feel very fortunate to have #marylandspineinstitute help me, and I believe that this is only the past and not my future. But, I BEG every parent to try and get their kids checked during adolescence because apparently thats when it could have been corrected. Oh, and I beg you to not accept any Drs answer because my old one saw me about 8 times in the last 2 yrs... Grr. Funny part? My neck is called "military" shaped. Figures. #suckitup #driveon

wow! where do I start? My experience with MSI is amazing. I have been in pain in my neck and back for years. I have tried physical therapy, injections, and am currently on pain medication. I was a little skeptical about going to a chiropractor but my daughter was going there and I saw the amazing results she got from going there so I decided to go. I had a fall 2 weeks before I went so I thought what a better time to go since I was in even more pain. I have been going there for a couple of weeks and I already am seeing a big difference. My pain is nowhere what it was and I am already weaning myself off the pain medication. Bending over to tie my shoes or paint my toenails used to cause me a lot of pain in my hip and now I have noticed that its not hurting anymore when I bend over. I am feeling so much better that I just want to hug and kiss everyone there..hee hee. Dr. Herold is so nice and explains everything and takes his time to answer any questions I have, and the staff is just as nice. I would recommend the Maryland Spine Institute to anyone who thinks there is no hope because there is hope to live a better pain free life if you go there. Thanks MSI for helping me be the person I hoped to be, you have totally changed my life already and am looking forward to all the things Ill be able to do in the future. wuah!

After I injured my right knee from a fall back in January I discovered the MD SPINE INSTITUTE through a health fair that was held at my job back in March after sitting down with Dr Herold for my free consultation he did a series of X-rays and a through exam because he said that not only was they going to help fix my knee but other areas that were affected by that injury as well. His staff was simply amazing from the exercises that he assigned me to do in his office as well as at home all the treatments, laser, ice, heat and the adjustments and all the care that was provided to me made me glad that I choose the MD SPINE INSTITUTE and I will recommend them to my family and friends.

I would highly recommend Dr. Herold, his staff, and the many services his practice has to offer to anyone suffering from back and neck pain. I have been told by doctors in the past that my condition would worsted and I would require surgery. This was communicated to me over three years ago and under Dr. Herolds care and monthly maintenance, I have not had surgery and I am healthier now than I have been in many years. I enjoy working in my yard and swimming. Two activities that I could not do without suffering additional pain during the activities and for several days to follow. Do yourself a favor and book a consultation. You will not be Sorry - you will be feel Better!

After 7 years of constant pain Dr. Brian and his staff got me back on my feet, pain free and able to enjoy life again. I guess you could say its a new lease on life. Being a patient at MSI is like being family. Im so grateful for the help and encouragement I received along the way. 15 years ago I was in a severe car accident which cause major back issues. About 8 years ago I had a spinal fusion on C3 - C6 and continue to experience back, neck and shoulder pain. I was always leary about going to a chiropractor thinking they would cause more issue and pain in addition to causing more damage. Long story short, I feel completely different after meeting Dr. Herold and team. After about a month of physical therapy and adjusting Im a new girl. In addition to Dr. Herold being godsend, his team couldnt be more professional and kind. Jen and Ashley, thanks for making my visits enjoyable.

Approximately 3 month ago I was experiencing daily headaches which I was not accustomed to at all. I made an appointment with Dr. Herold, at which time he took x-rays and assessed my situation in detail. He then created a plan for me which included physical therapy and adjustments. Now 3 months later I am headache free and feeling much better. The MSI will forever be a part of my life, so when life / age happens I will be ahead of the game. I came to Maryland Spine Institute because I was experiencing back pain early in my second trimester. I can not recommend Dr. Herold enough to any pregnant woman who is looking for some natural pain relief. Not only is my back pain more manageable, but the accompanying physical therapy exercises are helping to give me an easy exercise routine that prepares me for delivery. The staff is excellent and the atmosphere is very positive and comfortable. I will most definitely be planning to come back after our baby gets here! -S.W.

I was referred to MSI and it was one of the best things that couldve ever happened to me. From the minute you walk in the door, the small town feel is eminent! Theyre all so friendly and personable from the front desk to the doctors themselves. After a couple of visits, everybody knows your name. Then comes the pain relief! Theyre all knowledgeable in the ways of the body and know just what to do to make you feel 100% quick! If you dont go to MSI, youre making the wrong choice!
