Dr. Kelly Koay: So bad it justifies my first review of anything on the Internet. I went here as they had the soonest apt. for new patients, which was a respectable 5 weeks. The check in process is efficient and organized. The wait time was typical for any doctor. I saw Ms. Koay, technically an MD, but after my experience, I am questioning her credentials as she had no clue regarding the neuropharmacological effects of medications she was naming. She selectively focused on one medical issue I brought up and completely ignored all others. She did not listen to me. I literally got no response to some of my medical questions. She has a total lack of bedside manner and would not tailor her thought process in such a way to treat patients as individuals. She had a set check list and stuck to it. In the end, I did not get what I needed from her, nor did she offer viable (timely) alternative solutions, leaving me in a bind trying to find a new primary care doc. You may luck out and find another doc here that is great; do not see Ms. Koay, even though she may be available, as it will be a waste of your time and copay. During checkout they were unable to inform me what I owed, but this could be a reflection of the messy state of health insurance.

As a patient of this Office, I am appalled at the fact that a local Food warehouse , yes FOOD warehouse has ample supplies of the seasonal flu vaccine and is scheduling clinics to immunize people, and yet A large health organization like the JOHNS HOPKINS Physicans at White Marsh, has on repeated calls, expressed that they neither have any vaccine, have no idea when they will be getting any and are actively advising patients to seek other sources of vaccination for this years seasonal flu shots. What a pronounced case of poor planning at protecting thier patients and assuring that they receive timely protection against the flu. Perhaps the office didnt want to spend the upfront costs for the shots or didnt bother to order any . Either way, when an affiliate of JOHNS HOPKINS fails to protect the public and they have to resort to the local food Warehouse, it is truly a sad day in this city. Rest assured this posting will be forwarded to the local blogs as well as the local radio stations so that they may be able to get this critical information out to the community.

Dr. Pinto was the first Pediatrician we saw. He was not bad, but he was not good. He always went straight to the computer, never showed any care or emotion, and never really seemed like he was a doctor for "children". Dr. Cutler is the WORST doctor ever and should not be allowed to practice medicine! She told me that food and other habits have no effect on the thyroid. My husband fell and hurt his back and was sent to the ER. We went to her for a follow up because they were not able to get all the xrays and she said he was fine without looking at a single xray. She sent him down for one xray and the technician asked about what had been done and seen and could not believe everything that was not done and not been looked at by the doctor. No care, no concern, no follow up- TERRIBLE!

HORRIBLE! Primary care and Pediatrics…. dont waste your time trying to make an appointment, only to have them rebook you due to the fact that they cant seem to keep any consistency with their providers. Within 6mo time, my daughter was switched to 3 different providers. Youre better off going to patient first (on the first floor). Dont bother dropping off school/sports form it takes them 5-7 business days, not including the day you drop it off, and you MUST drop it off in person so that they can collect the whopping $10 co-pay for transcribing immunization dates (it takes time to do tough job like that, right?). The administrative staff (especially in Pediatrics) are miserable. If you dont have the personality to work with people, FIND A NEW JOB!!

AWFUL. My 2 year old son was NEVER able to get in day of. He was never ever able to be seen. He had 3 ear infections in 1 month and they kept telling us he wasnt able to be seen because they were to booked and to send him to urgent care. I expressed my concern that with urgent care he is seeing different doctors and nothing would ever be universal or consistent, they still could never do anything. I even called to be seen and they told me that I could see my doctor in a month because they are just that over booked. I am not one to complain but PLEASE consider going else where if you want to have a doctor that works with you and gets to know you. This is not the place for that. They are always too busy or over booked.

There seemed to be alot of problems with billing that I always had to straighten out between my insurance company and the pediatrics billing office. There was no follow up by the billing people. We had a part time pediatrician for my daughter and because of that if my daughter was sick she normally saw whatever doctor was free to see her. Because of that her care was not consistent and the doctors didnt have a good grasp on her history. By the end, they were saying they couldnt get her in for a sick appointment for several days and we were going to Patient First so often we knew we had to change practices.

I love my dr and my daughters pediatrician at this facility. The billing staff and wait time for a telephone call is appalling. I have spent more than 30 mins on hold, and have waited almost a week for an email response. Also, they took over 9 months to bill me for a visit and when I called, they expressed that they have 3 years to do what they want. They dont care what effect it may have had for my insurance deductible or taxes. The staff is rude at the billing department... I am probably going to switch doctors because of the horrible customer service.

Had to get blood drawn in the lab at this place. Waited over an hour to be seen and the nurses in the lab were unfriendly. The nurse that actually drew my blood was not gentle at all and left a huge bruise and what looks like a blood blister on my arm where she had the needle. Most likely the needle cut inside my skin as she forcefully took it out. Too bad I do not remember her name.

Although relatively new patients at JHCP-White Marsh, we have found our primary care physician, Dr. MacDonald, and the staff to be responsive to our needs and extremely accessible. If your previous primary physician was a small practitioner, there may be some degree of culture shock when initially visiting JHCP.

I have not been to the facility but the answer time was immediate, very friendly and extremely helpful, and got an appt. within two months which works perfectly for me. I have heard nothing but good things as I have researched and past experience with Johns Hopkins was wonderful. Looking forward to same service.
