I have been to many dentists and I can say with complete certainty that this family practice is the best I have ever frequented. Drs. Melika and Ali Shatergholi truly excel in their craft! I have had experience with both doctors and they have provided excellent dental services as well as wonderful customer service. They are kind, caring, and committed to their patients. Its such a relief to find a practice that can meet all your dentistry needs after looking for so long with no avail. The doctors both make you feel comfortable, secure and welcoming- like youre part of the family! I never write reviews online, but felt the need to do so to spread the word of this amazing place and to help others also find the perfect dentist. Theres plenty of free parking (Ive had to pay for parking in the past with other dentistries). As soon as you walk in, you are welcomed in to a warm, updated and modern office, complete with a fireplace (never seen that before at a dentist office!). There are TVs hanging on the wall as well as an array of magazines to keep you occupied before being seen (although I have only had to wait a max of 10 minutes)! Above the cozy fireplace, greets you one of the sweetest receptionists I have ever had the pleasure to meet! Heydi not only welcomes you with a big warm smile, but provides you with excellent customer service skills and effectively answers all your billing questions. On the topic of staff, all the dental assistants are extremely kind and gentle, particularly Minoo and Emily! As soon as you are escorted to the room, there is a TV inside with Nexflix available to view while you are receiving your dental care!! No matter what your dental needs are, as simple as a cleaning or as complex as a root canal, this practice can do it! Ive had many services done and the results are amazing! Im sure Im not alone when I say that I hate going to the dentist, but this practice not only has erased my previous stigmas about dental procedures, but has empowered me to take better care of my teeth. Both Drs. Melika and Ali are so kind and caring and extremely gentle with the procedures they perform- and it really makes all the difference!! They both take their time explaining the procedures and detailing the reason why its needed. You never get the "rushed" feeling with these doctors as they truly care to help you understand and satisfy all your questions. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice- truly a professional and convenient establishment with superior services and great care!

Throughout my childhood and the better part of my adulthood, Ive had many sub-par dentist experiences. Unfortunately, those painful experiences inherently undermined my overall dental hygiene and the health of my teeth. As a result, I didnt take great care of my teeth which not only affected the health of my teeth, but it also affected my confidence and the simple ability to carry conversations with friends and colleagues without embarrassment. Since Ive been a patient of Doctors Melika and Ali Shatergholi, Ive been able to put aside my fears and embarrassment because of their helpful and caring services. They are completely transparent in what they do and how they do it. Not only am I completely comfortable with the way they perform their craft, but Im also fully aware of whats going on through the course of each visit. My teeth are healthier than ever, and I enjoy my visits and have even inquired the idea of coming more than twice a year. I guess Ill have to convince my insurance company to approve that request. If you or anyone you know is looking for a dentist, I strongly recommend Superior Cosmetic & Family Dentistry.

I first visited Dr Shatergholi’s office 9 months ago looking for a new dentist since I had just moved to Bowie area because of my job transfer from NY. The front desk personal was very pleasant and welcomed me in with open arms. Once in the examining room I was greeted by Dr Shatergholi and again with a pleasant introduction (btw, I am TERRIFIED of dentist, had a very bad experience when I was younger). I explained to him my phobia with dentist and he immediately put me as ease and said he would make sure and promised me whatever procedure he or his team conducted would be pain free as possible (I was still a little skeptical). Dr Shatergholi informed me I would need a deep cleaning and after my xrays he informed me I had 2 cavities, which I should fix before it turned to root canals. I had the deep cleaning done and fillings on the same side that day. It was perfect because this way I was numb only once : ) Besides being so pleasant and kind the most important piece for me was the painless process. I recommend Dr Shatergholi to whoever has a phobia to dentist/pain!!!!

Please be advised to stay away from this place! I went for a cleaning (which I never received) and was told that I have two cavities, ten percent bone loss, and in need of a scaling treatment. I have never had a cavity and was not having any issues with bleeding or swollen gums. The hygienist stated that my insurance may not cover the cost since they like to see at least 50% bone loss. None of this felt right to me and I did not believe the hygienist or dentist who later came in to confirm the lies! I went to another dentist for a second opinion (I purposely did not mention what these crooks stated). They took x-rays and cleaned my teeth. The dentist stated that EVERYTHING looked great! I asked, I dont have any cavities or tartar build up under my gums?!?!?! He looked at me strangely and said, "No! I am so glad that there are still HONEST and professional dentists out here! Superior denistry (who need to change that name) is only interested in MONEY and will deceive people in order to get it!

Dr.Melika Shatergholi is the best dentist I have been to! She is personable and has great bedside manner (something my previous dentist lacked). She always makes sure you are comfortable and pleased with your treatment. She has completed routine cleanings as well as crowns and fillings for me. All of which have had great results. The office staff is extremely accommodating as well. Heidi, at the front desk, is responsive to your needs as a patient when it comes to scheduling and insurance information. My parents will also be switching to Dr.Shatergholis practice! Highly recommend this practice!

I used to be scared of dentist for years, but since my first appointment with this doctor I felt really confident. The office is very neat and clean, the front desk associate I believe her name is HAYDA is very professional, she explained to me all the fees and even broke down all the procedures and fees to make me really understand everything. Dr. Ali Shatergholi is very patient and professional, he would explain to you all the steps. So far this the best dental office. I am recommending it to every one looking for a gentle, professional and patient dentist.

Very welcoming place, lovely waiting area made me feel at home, receptionist was very pleasant and helpful, didnt have to wait very long before I was brought to the back by a very pleasant dental assistant who was also very caring to my needs. Once the dentist came in, she was ready to explain in detail every x-ray that was taken in a way that I didnt feel overwhelmed by the amount of treatment. I beyond recommend this place for anyone who cares about customer service and quality.
