Doc Gardner and the staff at Tuckahoe are down to earth and just good humans. If you want a fancy, expensive, experience where the doctor is cold and distant go somewhere else. What you get here is a man with a Century ;-) of veterinary experience. He wont lie to you or try to talk you into expensive procedures that wont work anyway. He will recommend other specialists. He will save your sick animal if he can. He will also be dead honest with you if its time to say goodbye. But he will never push you to make a decision, rather tell it to you straight so you can make educated decisions. His prices are better than anyone elses because he has low overhead, he doesnt have a fancy office in the best part of town. Rather a comfortable clinic on property hes lived on and raised his children. And I bet you he could do any fancy procedure you asked of him - but only if it made sense and would relieve suffering and pain for the animal patient. If you want to get to know Doc Gardner your 1st visit take him a joke, Doc loves a good joke. If you take him a suffering pet he will help it. If you take him a pet with a fancy disease he will help or give you a recommendation. Doc Gardner is quite simply a good vet and a nice guy.
