Sister office of Milldam vet. I have been using this vet since 2005 with only a few minor problems that I could overlook, such as no reminder cards about vaccines or reminder cards that were printed with the wrong dates on them so I would make an appointment and then once I got there was told my pet didnt need anything done. Waste of my time, but things I can overlook. However, today I was treated so unfairly! I had called on Monday becuase my male cat had blood in his urine, spoke extensively to the woman and she even put me on hold to speak with the vet to figure out what we should do next since we have had this problem before. The vet wanted a urine sample, so I was told to come in Wed morning between 9-9:30am so they could get one. (That is today) I got there at 9:10, first off they couldnt find my chart for 20 minutes. I sat and waited patiently. Once they found my chart the woman said she didnt know who I had spoken to, but that things like this needed an appointment, so I would have to have an office visit. Okay. She told me no one had noted in my chart I was coming in, questioned me about the phone call again. Seemed like she didnt believe me, even though they found my chart on the office managers desk, which proved the chart had been pulled for some reason. So I sat and waited. 5 people came in, barely sat down before they were taken back to a room with their pets. Finally at 10:10am, after waiting an hour, I stated that I wanted to know how long it would be. After all this was supposed to be an in and out thing to get a urine sample. She went to the back to "check", came out and said she didnt know how long it would be since they had to work me in. I told her I should not be made to sit here because you guys screwed up! She basically came across again that they didnt believe I had called. So I told them I was not waiting, I had to get home to my 11 month old and I had another appointment in 2 hours. Ms. Robyn said well he needs to be seen since he has blood in his urine. I told her I knew that and would be finding a new vet for my 6 cats that was competent. I asked if there was a way to make a formal written complaint, she said I could write one and that she would make sure the vet got it. Yeah right! Like Im going to trust someone to give a complaint about themselves to the head vet!!!! On my way home, I called my husband who proceeded to call the vet. They stated I hadnt been waiting an hour and that 10 minutes after I left they could have seen me since another patient was late. Again, basically stating to him they didnt believe I had called in since noone had wirtten anything in my chart. He told them he wanted our records and would be there in 15 minutes. They copied our reords and he drove the 15 minutes back to the vet office to pick them up. I would not recommend this vet to anyone, which is sad because I used to all the time! Very unorganized and if this is the way a person who has 6 cats seen by them, who gives them hundreds of dollars a year, is treated then no one should go there! I wonder now how they treated my cats when they would take them in the back to do blood draws or urine draws. Scary!!!

If you care about your pet do yourself a favor and find a different vet. I recently took my dog here to get her shots/checkup. ($180) On a previous visit the clinic matched the Petmeds price for my dogs Trifexis so I asked them to do so again. They informed me that I would have to go home and print the Petmeds price and bring it to them. I dont have the time to be running back and forth so I just ordered it through Petmeds. I prefer to spend my money locally but if you insist on making me jump through hoops to do so it is not going to happen. This is when the clinic did everything in their power to avoid filling my dogs prescription without regard for the fact that my dog was out of heartworm medication and at risk. I received an email from Petmeds saying I needed to call Bayside vet clinic. When I call they inform me that they will no longer fill my prescription because my dog was at the upper weight limit for that particular prescription and that if I wanted that prescription I would have to bring her back in to be weighed to ensure she was under the upper weight limit. The vet was ready and willing to fulfill my dogs prescription for this dosage the day I was in their office but now that I am buying it from Petmeds they are no longer willing to do so. So, I took my dog back to their office and had her weighed. She was well within the limits so I requested that they fax the prescription to Petmeds. Their response was that I would have to have Petmeds resend the request. Another employee behind the counter said that was not necessary, they could just send it over. They never sent it to Petmeds so I had to reorder the prescription. After I placed the order I received a phone call from Bayside vet clinic informing me that they would not fill the prescription unless I brought my dog in for another heartworm test even though when I was just in their office for her shots the test was done. This is when I realized they are never going to fill my dogs prescription so long as I am buying it elsewhere even if it means that my dog has to continue to be at risk for heartworms. Now I am certainly not going to be taking my dog back to them and will be looking for a new vet. Bayside vet clinic does not care about you or your pet. Go somewhere else.

Very slow. There dont move fast here. Snake bit victim my dog. Weve been here over 3 hours. 3 people were ahead of us. 3 hours ago. There now gone, were still here, 10 more people with animals have filed in. When I ask for an up date they act like its an inconvenience...Last time it cost me$1500. And they didnt do much!!! They charged me for snake anti venom but never gave it to my dog saying she didnt need it... So why Did I pay for it.

Had to have my cat put to sleep after 14 wonderful years. The staff was extremely rude. The receptionist was more concerned about the payment for a new patient because I had not brought her in the year before. I will never go back to them or recommend anyone to take their pet there.

Do not take your pet to Bayside Veterinary Clinic. They are rude and inconsiderate. If they cant treat humans with respect it is a wonder how they will treat your family pet.
