BEWARE OF THIS VET: I had an absolutely terrible experience with this vet. The staff seemed nice however my pug went in for what was supposed to be a routine dental cleaning. I had spoken to the vet informing her that I wanted to be informed before they did anything other than a cleaning and she said they would definitely call me if anything needed to be done. When I had called to check up on my dog the receptionist said everything went well and that she was just waking up. When my husband got to the vet he paid the bill which was more than $200 over what the bill was supposed to be. And our dog was missing her two bottom teeth. My husband told me what was done to our dog so I called the vet. After speaking to the vet she informed me that there was a misunderstanding and that they should have called us before removing our dogs teeth. The vet did nothing about reimbursing us for the cost of their mistake let alone fix our dogs teeth which were removed without our permission. We will not be going back to this vet and will be urging others to not go there as well. If they are so careless as to not inform people about their pets who know what they are doing to these poor defenseless animals when they are under anesthesia. I hope this review helps others who are in the area and that they are not burned by this vet.

Our dog Duke is our furry child. When he started having seizures 3 years ago we were distraught. The Oxford Vet has been great about helping us get him on the right medicines, and following up with us after his seizures. Today earned them every star possible. I ran into their office carrying my seizing dog and they were beyond wonderful. They quickly took him into a room and helped bring him out of an epileptic episode. He continued seizing, but the whole team helped out and let me lie with my dog on the floor while he regained some of his balance. I took up one of their rooms for 2 hours, lying with my dog, while they checked in and re-administered the proper medications. Thank you to the entire team at Oxford Vet. I was a mess and you were all so very helpful. It means the world that we have a vet team like you to help us when our furry child isnt doing his best. Thank you again for all you do, especially to the vet tech who grabbed me tissues when I couldnt keep it together after his 4th seizure. Your kindness meant so much.

Over 10 years ago, I brought Thelma Sue, a one-year old German Shepherd mix service dog candidate who had been rescued from a West Virginia SPCA, to OVH for a checkup. During the first visit, Dr. Mease and the team discovered that Thelma had abnormal kidney function, which was later confirmed to be renal dysplasia. Thelma had chronic kidney failure. She could not be a service dog and I adopted her. Dogs in her condition could have 1 or 2 more years of quality life. Thelma and I decided that was nowhere near enough time to do what we wanted to do together, so we relied on Dr. Mease and the team at OVH to keep her alive and well for as long as possible. OVH certainly rose to the challenge, managing her kidney problems and also providing a full range of services from dental care to laser therapy to relieve discomfort from hip problems. Thelma was always happy to see everyone at OVH and I know that she knew how much they loved and helped her. Because of the teams expert care, we had 8 more great years together. Thank you!!

Worst veterinarian I have ever had the displeasure of going to. I am not joking. I want to stress to you that I am a customer who has plenty of money and my expirience at this vets office is based solely on the services themselves. This office is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever been to. The office staff are completely rude. They will attempt to turn a simple nail cutting visit into a costly hour long dog behavior session at your cost. Beware that if you are attempting to get a refund from this office you are sadly out of luck. This office makes promises of full refunds for services but does not honor them. They also change the price of services after you have already agreed upon a set price. Save yourself the time and money by selecting a much more professional office for your fur babies. I will never take my dog to this establishment again. I cant stress this enough.

This place is outrageously exapensive and cares more about money then pet wellness. Ive been taking my dog there for over 5 years and shes gotten the same infection in her ear years in a row. I had just lost my job and couldnt afford the diagnostic fee ($100+) for them to tell me it was the same infection. I asked for a medication refill and was denied after all these years. My dog got a hematoma on her ear as a result of denied care. BEST PART...Ive written this comment on there page more than once and it NEVER makes it on their list they only put positive comments! The place is a joke. 1800 pet meds has been waiting for them to fax a prescription over for over 3 days now and its now Sunday so looks like my dogs flea tick and heart worm meds arent important to them either!!

My dog took off after a stray cat and broke two nails. I called Oxford Veterinary Hospital first thing in the morning and they got him in immediately. My dog is always super nervous when it comes to vets and I was not able to go with him this time. My husband took him. They went super slow with him and took their time. He ended up having to have surgery on his nails and it was very reasonable. I called to speak with the vet tech, Jennifer, and she was more than willing to explain to me everything that happen. The doctor even spoke with me! The service there was absolutely the best I have seen. We normally go to Banfield, but after this visit we will be switching to Oxford! Thanks so much Oxford Vet!! I could not be more satisfied!

Dr. Mease and Dr. Gaultney are two of the most wonderful people you would want to have taking care of your pets. My dog Willow is a little hesitant meeting people, however the presence of both of these doctors made her feel at ease and not at always intimidating the vets office for her. The front desk staff is extremely personable and very well versed in the field to answer upfront questions without having to speak to the doctors directly. Ive known Dr. Mease for many years, and he is the same person in and out of the office. He truly has a gift with animals and is the only doctor I would want for my familys dogs. I love this practice!! If you want your pets to be in loving hands, go to Oxford Veterinary Hospital!

There are not enough words for the respect & admiration that I have for Dr. Kabakjian. You will never find a more down to earth, caring, compassionate person. She has helped me through very rough times with both of my boys. The time she has spent on the phone with me and in person giving advice (not to mention researching our specific problems) shows how much she enjoys her job and takes great pride in what she does! While Dr. K is who we normally see... I would like to shout out Dr. Mease who has performed surgery on both of my dogs and done a phenomenal job! The post op care provided by the entire staff at OVH is second to none. Oliver & Otis are Oxford Veterinary Hospital patients for life!
