We have 2 rescue cats Hurricane Snowboots and Sunshine Kisses. Sunshine needed to be spayed and money was tight. Also Dr. Bennington was out on sick leave. We were told the new doctor there would perform Sunshines surgery if we didnt want to wait for Dr. Benningtons return. We were scared because we had never met Dr. Qaio before and did not know how she was. I did ask a majority of the staff there about Dr. Qaio and they all gave high recommendations. We set up the appointment to begin the process, blood work and so forth. To cut a long story short, I have to say with high regard, Dr. Qaio is totally AWESOME, SUPERB!!!! We love her, and Sunshine loves her! She is very thorough, and very good. As a vet, she knows her job well! Another important quality of Dr. Qaio, when I explained money was tight, she worked everything for Sunshines needs to save us money without compromising quality. We really LOVE her and highly recommend her!! The staff at VCA Elkton, Tabi, Patty, and Shannon are awesome. Tech Erin as always is SUPERB!! Thank you Dr. Qaio for everything!! Thank Tech Erin and staff!! The Proctors :)

I love VCA Elkton! The staff all know my dog and me by name, even when I drop by unannounced. Dr. Bennington really cares about my dog and always explains the situation and gives me a number of options to choose from. This choice is great so I understand the risks and costs for all options and can pick the best one for us. I have received calls from the staff and Dr. Bennington after my appointments to make sure that my dog is feeling well or getting better. Having a veterinarian with a good bedside manner that you know cares about your dog is a true blessing, especially if your dog is very sick. When my dog ate corn cobs and needed surgery to remove them as they were blocking his intestinal track, Dr. Bennington and the office staff were very sympathetic and supportive - calling to check up on him and me frequently. I could not ask for a better vet and I will always take my dog to Dr. Bennington.

My cat came down with some symptoms that led me to believe he was in his last days, so I took him to the VCA here in Elkton. They expect you to carry pet insurance. I love my cat, but cannot afford this, or the $1000 in diagnostic charges they suggested just to hopefully find out what was wrong with my cat. If it costs that much to find out what is wrong, I definitely cant afford to fix it (or maybe not). I found the cure on my own at Wallgreens with a slight bit of creative intuition (and for only $10 bucks!) The real problem with the VCA in Elkton, is that they have lost all creativity, and all they do is order a bunch of tests / treatments to fit the description just to try and avoid lawsuits. This wastes a tremendous amount of money, and is driving the cost of owning a pet into insanity.

their claim to be oner of the worlds best diagnostic vets preventive care di not get my vote… I went in with a dog who was sporting a minor ear infection and by the end of a brief visual inspection, I was handed a $1,500 + “ plan of action” ummm~well i say bye bye now!. *They were nice to make a follow up call even though they did not administer any meds..So, Unless you have dough to dole, I would look beyond this convenient location, even with their 24/7 claim to fame… I vote no… for me and my dog at least.

My Pup Ruby was hit by a car on 03/9/17 and we rushed her to Vca Elkton. They immediately examined her and made sure she was stable and then suggested that because of the extent of her injuries she should be transported to a bigger emergency animal hospital that has all the proper equipment to better treat her. I cant express enough how wonderful everyone was at the VCA Elkton! I plan to start using them as our regular Veterinarian.

We will definitely be returning should we need vet services for our cat! Dr. Charles was very knowledgeable and quick, and we left there fully confident that our cat would be well again. Also, the vet tech who initially helped us (cant remember her name) was very impressive in how she handled the cat, no hesitations, very deliberate movements. All in all a very good experience

Had my first visit at VCA in Elkton today with my service dog Carson McDuff. I was very pleased with the way they treated me and explained things to me. They took very good care of Carson McDuff and was very gentle with him. It was a pleasure to meet the staff and to see how well they care for their client. I am glad to have found a veterinarian who cares.

Brought in my kitties earlier this week when we realized they had tapeworm. Super awesome staff checked them out and administered medication which would have been hell to do alone. Just a few days later and my kitties are all better! Cant believe how affordable everything was.
