Made an 11:00 appt and waited until 11:20 before I finally asked the receptionist when we would be taken back. I was told that they didnt enter my appointment so I was given an 11:20 appt as it was open? We were taken back at almost 11:30. So thats at least a 30 minute wait before being put in the exam room to wait a bit longer. One receptionist deserves a 5, the other a 0. Today was my last visit there. At todays appointment, there was so much hair everywhere, the scales (they have a mat on the scales?), both chairs in the exam room were coated with hair on the back and seat (easily seen on the black chairs), and the exam table wasnt touched. I refused to sit my dog in the hair on the scales so the tech pulled up the mat. When I complained about the chairs the tech also cleaned the chairs. When the Vet came in the exam room I advised I couldnt sit my dog on that mat with all the hair. She looked a bit disgusted with me and explained that its hard to clean that mat? This tells me that they do not clean that mat very often or maybe at all which is where you are supposed to place your oned one to be examined? Im asthmatic and refused to sit my dog in so much hair, not to mention it seems to be a safety issue if they arent cleaning after each patient. Would you sit your child on a table at a pediatric office without it being properly cleaned? After me voicing my concern, the visit was then less than satisfying. Its obvious they dont want anyone to express their need for a clean environment. Spoke to Debbie, the office manager, she seemed to be expecting my call and showed very little compassion for my concerns. Cleanliness to me should be top priority as Im sure there are a lot of sick animals that come to them. Again, I will not be returning.

Dr. Virginia Scrivener won me over in caring for my new kitten Gizmo. Gizzie doesnt care for her or the staff at this point. (6 months old) But I personally cant blame him when everytime hes been there hes been stuck by a needle and had his ears flushed due to ear mites and ear mite infection. What I loved, she recommended that I bring Gizzie in here and there between appointments so she and the staff can play with him and let him learn he wont always be hurt by them. They are more expensive then my last vet. And sometimes its harder to pay the higher charges being on disability, but I love so far how they have treated me and my Gizzie. They dont ignore my concerns, they listen to me and take everything I say to heart and address them in a non rushing, lets discuss this until your mind is at ease kinda way. So I will continue cutting corners at home to pay the higher prices to give Gizzie the best care, He deserves only the best. After all, he is my baby!

Most amazing vet Iv been to I rush my baby in this morning that has a seizure and they took her right from me and did everything they possible could to try and bring her back unfortunately she passed and possibly had a underlining heart issue that is every hard to find They were sweet as could be and were very respectful about everything and let me see her multiple times before they send her off to be cremated Would recommend this place to anyone theyre amazing !

When my little cat that you have treated since she was a kitten was injured I called you on a Saturday morning to bring her in for treatment. You did “not have time” to see her, though I said she was in great distress. If I had waited until the following week, she would have died of infection. You were a great disappointment. I gave you one star because there was no way to give you zero. PS my cat was treated by another vet, and is doing well.

Weve been going to the Animal Health Clinic of Funkstown since our Puppy, Meeko, was 9 weeks old. (Hes now 13 months old.) Everyone there, Vets & Staff, treat you like Family. Theyre willing to go above and beyond the norm and our Puppy LOVES to visit everyone there. In fact, instead of being afraid to go to the Vet, he runs through the doors to greet everyone. If youre looking for an Animal Clinic that REALLY cares, they do.

Weve been taking our dog, Otis, to AHC of Funkstown for several years. Weve been so impressed by the kindness and concern of all the staff. Otis is nearly 14 and has heart disease and more than one kind of cancer. Dr. Cumley sees him whenever possible, so we have continuity of care, and Otis is excited to go to see her! I know he would not be alive and happy today if we hadnt come to Animal Health Clinic of Funkstown!

The staff is always courteous and kind. They treat the animal as if it were their own. The doctors are very nice and take time to explain what treatments are needed. I like that they give you a estimate of what the visit and treatment will cost so that you can decide what you can afford to have done.

We have been going to Animal Clinic of Funkstown for over 8 years now for our dog Fletcher. Every time we are there, the service if fabulous. Staff are so kind to our dog (and us) and very knowledgeable. The staff are great at making sure we understand whats going on. We love them!

One of BEST Vet offices Ive ever dealt with. Very caring, take time with your pet, very thorough and resourceful. Had 2 of my pups spayed and neutered and they couldnt have been better in all aspects. Highly recommend!
