I was suffering from a toothache and my regular dentist is closed on Fridays. I found Family Dental of Maple lawn and I saw the reviews were good and the fact that they allowed me to come in within the hr of calling was all awesome to me. The staff was really nice however after X-Rays the doctor came in and kept focusing on a tooth that was not bothering me telling me how it should be pulled and a implant is needed there. Someone came in to give me a breakdown of cost. I turned and said " I really dont mean to cut you off but was anything said about the tooth that is actually bothering me today". She turned to the person that did the X-Ray and said "I dont know did the doctor say anything". The young man that did the X-Ray who was really nice the entire time and very professional said "oh he said there is nothing wrong and its just your gums or maybe you just need a cleaning". I was in pain and knew something was wrong so I had to suffer for the weekend. I was able to see my regular dentist this Morning and guess what I have a cavity between my teeth! My hygienist said wow I dont know what kind of exam they did but I can see the shadow by looking back there with a mirror and its really clear in the X-Ray. So thank you Family Dental Care of Maple Lawn for taking money from my insurance for an unnecessary X-Ray and thank you for not taking your time with me and being focused on where you could get the most money from me!
