A RIP OFF !!! I have no issues with Dr. Lewis professional practice (its no different from my past dentists) but I have major issues with his staff. I went to Dr. Lewis practice because its the nearest to my home and I was told they carry my insurance. Im very sensitive to the latter because I was already ripped off once. So, the first thing I check when looking for providers is if they carry my dental insurance (BC/BS and Metlife) because: 1) I get free regular cleaning and check up with them, and 2) Ive learned the expensive way that Ill end up paying around $50/visit for regular cleaning for out-of-network providers. So, why pay extra when Im already paying a lot for my insurance in return for free regular teeth cleaning? I was informed by his staff that they accept my insurance, so after checking other dental offices, I made an appointment and went for my "regular cleaning" with Dr. Richards office. Then, a month later came their bill -- a whopping $300+ !!! When I called to clarify the mistake, I was told that: 1) they are out-of-network for MetLife, and 2) that they did periodontal cleaning (cleaned deep inside my gums) instead of the "REGULAR CLEANING" that I ordered. Im pretty sure its the latter procedure that was done, having undertaken the same for procedure for at least 30x times over the last 10 years under three different dentists. The staff argued that the hygienist had 30 years of experience doing this, implying I dont know what I was saying! It reminded me of my previous optometrist telling me, despite my wearing eyeglasses for over 20 years, that its me and not his handiwork thats the problem when I complained of seeing double and getting headaches from wearing the eyeglasses that he crafted -- only to be disproven by another optometrist who fitted me with the right prescription. 30 years my A-- ! Its regular cleaning that I ordered and got, NOT periodontal cleaning!!! And $300! come on --- the most I paid for cleaning in my previous out-of-network dentist 10 years ago was $50! The receptionist was adamant that I was told theyre out-of-network, which I vehemently dispute because Ive been ripped off before and learned my lesson. And it was periodontal cleaning and not just the regular cleaning that was done. I guess, from now on I need to be very careful and make sure dental offices put this assurance in writing so I have proof to show instead of just trusting their words and get ripped off again the third time!!! What an expensive rip off!!! BE VERY CAREFUL...LEST YOU GET RIPPED OFF YOURSELF!!!

The best dentist youll ever go to! Dr. Lewis is the most professional and caring dentist that Ive ever visited. Ive been a patient for 30+ years. Dr. Lewis and his staff are always exceptionally friendly and helpful. Dr. Lewis has performed crowns and root canals on my teeth and all have been performed with virtually no pain. Also, all of my dental work has held up longer than expected - and in one instance, I received a compliment on his work from another dentist. His work is pure art! Also, his hygienists provide excellent cleanings. Dr. Lewis chair-side manner is also exceptional and he does a fantastic job calming my nerves. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Lewis to my family and friends.

Just has another appointment with Dr. Lewis. I never really liked dentists, but hes the best Ive encountered. Hes really gentle and light with his hands, He always makes me feel comfortable. Hes the only dentist I trust. He has the best staff, the receptionist is very knowledgeable with dental insurance and can answer any question you may have. His hygienist is always helpful and explains different ways I should be taking care of my teeth at home. I just love how my teeth feel after each of my cleanings. I would recommend Dr. Lewis and his staff to all my family and friends.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Lewis for a long time. He has always been professional, caring, and very friendly. Dr. Lewis has always done whats best for me, his dental work has always been first rate and I trust him 100 %. My family goes to him for all their dental work as well. The staff has always been welcoming and makes you feel at ease. I have known Paula and Karen for a while and always enjoy seeing them and the welcoming atmosphere they bring to the office.

Dr. Lewis is a gentle, caring dentist who uses only the most advanced materials & procedures available. He practices comfortable, health-centered dentistry with a strong emphasis on getting to know each patient. In addition to his technical proficiency, Dr. Lewis is a careful listener & will explain beforehand what treatment is best for your individual needs. The office also has a periodontist (gum therapy, surgery, implants) on staff. No more running around

Great example of what is wrong with the medical community today. Solicited us for business, my wife asked repeatedly about insurance coverage and we were told that they were in network. Months later, bills start coming, oops maybe they are out of our network. If they were in network, they would take what they are contractually paid for and when they arent they overcharge the patient? Any other industry, this would be considered fraud.

I have been a patient of Dr Lewis since he opened up his first office in Burlington some 30 years ago. He has been the best, his work is excellant and stands the test of time, He is a profesional expaining all the different options in laymans terms. Also his office staff is the best a great hygenist who does a wonderful job on my teeth every 6 months and I have never had a billing/insurance issues as the clerical staff is also excellant.

I have been going to Dr Lewis for many years. Over that period of time I have had many procedures done and was satisfied with each and everyone. Dr Lewis is a caring and honest dentist who really cares about his patients. He has an outstanding staff under his wing who are also very caring and professional...they always make you feel at ease. I would certainly recommend Dr Lewis office for any type of dental work that needs to be done.

Dr. Lewis has cared for my dental needs for over 40 years. He always addresses concerns and fears (whether rational or irrational). The staff are wonderful - from the front desk to the dental hygienists and his assistants. His associates are fantastic as well. My son does well with the pediatric dentist, and Ive had a great recent experience with the specialist he has for more extensive dental procedures.

Dr. Lewis has always been very personable, knowledgable and cares for his patients. I found him online and tried him out and have loved it (as much as you can love going to the dentist). He didnt push any extra procedures on me and really wanted me to try to fix things on my own first. His staff is always welcoming and really made it feel comfortable to be there. The TV on the ceilings also helped.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Lewis for over 20 years. That should say it all. Dr Lewis is an experienced dentist and will listen to your concerns. He will present alternatives, where possible, if you are in doubt about a procedure. I have had many different types of dental issues over the years. I have even called him after hours with questions. Highly recommended!
