About me: I have poor oral genetics, and that combined with a different neglectful uncaring dentist in the past, I’ve just never liked going. I didn’t enjoy the scraping or occasional anesthesia of dental visits. It was pretty much a miserable experience. I was diagnosed with fairly severe peritonitis with deep pockets and read about traditional treatments and freaked myself out. After some research, I found out about the LANAP procedure, searched for a RI dentist that did it and found Island Dental. And then my dental experience changed! From the minute I walked in, Guest Concierge Martha welcomed me so warmly and kindly followed by Kerri the dental hygienist who did my initial exam. Her cleanings are very gentle but thorough and combined with a paraffin hand treatment, I was instantly put at ease. My LANAP procedure while, for me, a significant procedure and not one I enjoyed, was made tolerable by Treatment Assistant Janet, and Dr Jones’. They gave me a neck pillow, recommended I listen to music and the occasional supportive hand squeeze got me through! Both very knowledgable, experienced, gentle and kind and supportive of my nerves! With careful after care treatment, my gums are the healthiest they’ve been in a long time. I can actually say I look forward to going to the dentist…I’m still not a fan of injections or scrapings, but the staff are exemplary and clearly have pride in everything they do. I mean, come on, a neck pillow, music, free chapstick, paraffin hand treatment and the occasional rose. Seriously, it’s a bit like a spa! I can’t recommend them enough and know you will too. Thank you Dr Jones, Kerry and Janet!

Ive been a patient at Island Dental Health for two years and running. Simply stated, this is the best dental team Ive ever experienced. Ive undergone the LANAP laser treatment almost two years ago. The outcome was tremendous and the aftercare plan was also outstanding. They are not only helpful but have helped me reach new levels of oral health. Ive always had good dentists and good oral health, but now I feel healthier and more informed. For those of you that are afraid of going to the dentist, they are also very gentle and truly take your concerns into consideration Dr. Jones is always learning more about his expertise. Rarely, have I been this impressed with any medical professional. He is always educating me about things that are going on in the field and how those items relate to other health related issues outside of dentistry.

Had the most wonderful experience. I am very nervous about the dentist and trying new places, however I was awed by this place. From the welcoming receptionist to the extremely friendly and able dental hygienist, I felt comfortable from the second I walked in. Additionally, Dr. Jones was very nice and made me feel at ease. When I asked about invisilign retainers, they did not try to just sell me something. Dr. Jones explained it to me and suggested I follow up with my wisdom teeth removal before going further with the retainers. I appreciated his honest advice and he welcomed me back for a consultation when I was ready. I would recommend this place to anyone! And to top it all off, they gave me a rose on my way out! Love this dentist!

Were a military family and finding a good dentist with every new duty station is difficult at best. We are so happy to have found Dr. Jones here!! He and his staff are kind and professional, thorough and honest, all of which are traits that we love! The whole office goes above and beyond tooth cleaning, they know our names and our "story", they ask about our vacations and treat us like friends. Best of all, they offer a full body massage chair to relax in while waiting (I show up extra early!), and a paraffin wax hand treatment while you have your teeth cleaned. Its like being at the spa!! This office is seriously the most comfortable and welcoming dentist office Ive been to and Id like to take them with me wherever we go!!

My first google review ... I am not a fan of the dentist visit and have a very sporadic history there because of some lame experiences and a lack of health insurance. I was a few years behind on even the basics. But I broke a tooth this week and decided I better make myself go. I checked reviews and found great ones for IDH. So I made an appointment and went to see them. And now I know what the rave reviews are all about! I walked in feeling my usual dentist visit dread and when I walked out I felt like skipping. Everyone was incredibly warm, kind, gentle and thoughtful. I am looking forward to my next visit and I can promise you that I have never said that before!! :)

I think this is the second review I have ever left for ANYTHING in my entire life, so please know it is honest!!! Island Dental is superb in every way!!! I was petrified of going to the dentist and hadnt been in quite some time. Kerri was SO sweet and instantly put me at ease. She rocks at giving a gentle but thorough cleaning :-) And Dr Jones was super nice as well and very welcoming. This place is top notch! From the service, to the paraffin hand treatment and the rose I got on the way out, I cant recommend them enough. I have been a client at Island Dental since 2008 and must say that the service and friendliness of the staff is unmatched. I originally went there needing periodontal surgery after finding their laser perio treatment online as an alternative to traditional treatment. Since that time I have continued to drive 1 hour each way for all of my dental needs and have no plans to change. I highly recommend them and know you will also be satisfied. They are top-notch in all areas.

YOU are their first priority and you realize this from the moment you enter the office. Dr. Jones is on top of the newest advances in dental health and utilizes this knowledge in his practice. He truly cares about you and your comfort during your office visit. I cannot praise this practice enough -- it just isnt possible!

Dr. Jones is, simply put, the finest dentist I have ever been to. He is professional, has wonderfully advanced tools at his disposal, and is FAIR (truly has his patients very best interest at heart). The offices are beautiful, with refreshments and comfortable leather chairs in the lobby, and Martha behind the front desk is an angel. I rarely ever write reviews but Island Dental really deserves this high praise. A+

I am new to the area. Dr. Jones was a lucky choice when I googled local dentists.Martha, the receptionist was unusually cordial over the phone. My visit was phenomenal. Gentle and thorough hygenist, Kerri, answered all my questions as did Dr. Jones. The best dental experience Ive ever encountered. Cant wait for my next appointment!

I just had my first visit and I am already looking forward to my next! (Never thought I would say that about going to the dentist). Dr. Jones and his staff were so friendly and helpful!
