I absolutely hate the dentist. I hate them. I hate teeth. Everything about the dentist freaks me out. With that said I love B & G. Ive been going there for almost 10 years now. Ive always seen Liz whos awesome! Shes always in a great mood, makes you comfortable, and makes you feel like youre old friends. For the "Dentist" I see Dr. MacDonald whos also very friendly and puts up with with the hard time I give him. (I mean really whos ever happy to see him.) I used to drive from Quincy to Hyde Park because this dental office was recommended to me by my cousin. Now Ive moved further and now drive from Holbrook to Hyde Park just to come to this dentist. I would recommend this office, Liz, and Dr. MacDonald to anyone searching for a Dentist. Whether you live in Hyde Park or 30+ minutes away like I do its so worth it. Finding a great dentist isnt easy, but everyone here really is great!

Dr. Kirk Bankhead and his assistants, Marti and Tim are always marvellous. I am dental-phobic and they never make me feel like a wuss, but do everything they can to make me feel safe and comfortable. I trust Dr. Bankhead with my dental work - that has been extensive - he always listens to what I think and we make decisions together. He is very skilled and experienced. I am just about to move overseas but would seriously consider returning to the u.s.a. if I needed any complex dental work, however I think the treatment I have received has given me the very best chance of going forward successfully. Thanks Dr. Bankhead - I will miss you!

Six... or maybe seven stars, out of five. Two appointments thus far where the work of Dr. Martin and the staff was exemplary. Dr. Martin is personable, demonstrates extraordinary skill, and explains everything - including a plan for upcoming work in terms of what is most urgent - with clarity. Several chipped or terribly broken-off teeth now have a "youd never know..." appearance. I am completely satisfied and would recommend this team to anyone with teeth. (No teeth? Dr. Martin might fashion you a set. ) I note that there is a practice site in West Roxbury. I have had appointments in that and the Hyde Park Avenue site.

I am 58, and I have always dreaded going to the dentist – I’m not good with pain. I really appreciate the care I get here. I have had appointments with several of the dentists and technicians over the years – mostly Dr. MacDonald in recent years – and they have all been warm and patient, and very accommodating to my needs. And they do excellent work! From cavities to a root canal and crowns, I’ve had it all. I trust them completely to do good work, and to not try to scam me into work I don’t need to pad their bill. (I’ve been to those dentists, too…) I highly recommend them.

This is a great practice! I dont really enjoy the dentist (I suppose who really does), and due to insurance challenges I hadnt been in over a year. So I knew going in I was going to get the usual lectures. I did get those lectures, but it was kind and thoughtful and really going over why I should do this for myself. Plus my dentist made a point to be friendly and get me to laugh throughout my appointment, Im not saying I love going to the dentist, but the dentist at Bankhead and Groipen will do their best to have you leave with a smile.

I did have a relatively good experience here. However rating it a 3.5 star as I did have to wait for 20 minutes in the waiting room despite showing up on time for my appointment. Recommend receptionist let patients know when they do come in if their dental hygienist is running late so that patient can plan accordingly if they have plans for later.

I have never felt so positive about my dentist since I became a patient at Bankhead and Groipen! My husband and 3 year old daughter are also patients. Cleanings and check-ups are quick and easy, and, crazy as it sounds, my root canal and crown was as relaxing and pleasant an experience as one could imagine those procedures being!

Dr Bankhead is an excellent Dentist, my extraction was quick and with little pain as the Nova Caine is useless I generally feel whats going on.Today I feel fine and its day 2 after the extraction very little bleeding the first day thank you Paul for being my Dentist.
