My first appointment was in April of this year for a cleaning and I also had an older filling in an upper molar that had fractured and left a gaping hole on side of my tooth? Much to my dismay I learned that I had a cavity under that filling? Thats why the tooth had broke and was at times unbelievably painful?! The dental assistant was nice and did x-rays and a rather quick cleaning...then a woman Dentist came in looked at my x-rays, poked around my teeth quickly and looked at the hole on the side of my tooth and informed me that I had no other cavities and would need a root canal on the broken tooth?! Ive never had a root canal or anything besides a cavity? So I setup an appointment with a periodontist they referred me to with over a month wait? When I learned how much the periodontist charged? Then you have to go back to the dentist to get the cap or "crown"? Altogether the root canal would cost me almost $3,000?! I ended up having the tooth pulled for free as I couldnt see having to take out a loan for one tooth? I just went back couple weeks ago for my 6 month cleaning. I was informed the woman Dentist I had seen the first visit was no longer with their office? That wasnt a surprise but it did leave me with the feeling that I was right about her "bedside manner" and professionalism? "You get what you pay for" as the saying goes. I made an appointment and found the new woman Dentist to be much more efficient and not "rushed" After the assistant took new x-rays and did cleaning. The new Denist informed me that I now had two cavities...underneath fillings? Who knew you get a filling and you still can get cavities under it? I didnt? Anyway this Dentist was obviously more experienced and professional...as she was correct with her diagnosis and took her time which I appreciated. Ive since been back to have my cavities filled (but of course in the meantime the one tooth with the cavity under the filling fractured like the one I ended up having pulled) Maybe if the 1st dentist had caught it? It wouldnt have cracked n left a sharp ridge that cuts into the inside of my mouth? It was definitely there in April becuz right after the new dentist saw it? She told me that it may be very deep? So if they start drilling to fill it? and it is too deep? I will need a ROOT CANAL! Boy oh boy! I swear dentistry is an unsupervised profession? Ive worked in the medical field for 30yrs. Dental seems to be able to charge whatever they want? Even if you have dental insurance it pays a little portion of some procedures? Yet they dont miss a week hitting up your paycheck for their premium! This is supposed to be the good old USA? Countries with at least everyone gets the help they need especially with the teeth! Your mouth health reflects your overall health...thats why its so important to go to the dentist! But theyre unregulated? Dentists should be ashamed turning away people because they have no dental insurance or dont take the patients insurance? A dentist makes as much as a cardiologist (a heart Dr) and doesnt go to school as long? Dentistry has gone on long enough being unregulated and overlooked! While they know how important our oral health is to our overall health? Im disgusted by the Dental industry! Im someone that was taken to the dentist every 6 months as a child, as I did with my kids..and have always tried to take as good of care of my oral health as possible? Now its almost impossible? I had to have a dam tooth pulled because I couldnt afford $3,000 for a root canal? It made me feel like a low life! not to mention the procedure itself ? Now Im facing the same dam problem again? Because some crappy dentist I trusted did a lousy job and I get cavities under the filling he put in? Then the 1st dentist at this place tells me I dont have any cavities? I go back few months later..shes gone..n the new dentist tells me I have two cavities? Is anyone monitoring Dentistry? You asked my opinion? If just one person reads this and realizes what Im saying is true? Then I did my job!

I am 39 and i never experienced a Dr . Dental before since i was younger and walked in Dr dental on bridge st , maid a apt had my 1 st visit and i loved the staff there always kind best , and Dr , i felt comfortable with everyone now i take my 4 kids and i sure told friends about my experience over on bridge st .....

They are wonderful at what they do! It is almost pain free ! Excellent response to any time you might feel pain and immediately stop . Would recommend to anyone young or old especially if you are squeamish on seeing a dentist! I have been with them for 5-6 years and they do accept MA Health

The whole staff is very friendly - receptionist, hygienists and doctor! I like that they talk through what theyre doing; usually I have no idea whats going on at the dentist. They did a very thorough job cleaning my teeth :) I recommend it!
