I am from out of town and visiting friends in the area when my Irish Wolfhound started acting in a way that could indicate a life threatening problem. I called ahead to this office to ensure they could take an emergency visit for an Irish Wolfhound. Before I had even spoken to a vet, the receptionist was trying to explain to me that it was most likely bloat - how can a person diagnose over the phone without hearing symptoms!? This immediately threw red flags but I was caught between driving 10 minutes here or 25minutes to the next doctor - a huge amount of time when it comes to emergency care. She then placed me on hold and went to speak with the vet, at which point she returned and explained they were able to handle the task. I arrived and the staff was oohing and ahhing over my wolfhound like it was some type of dogshow. This was supposed to be an emergency visit! No sense of urgency was felt throughout the entirety of the visit. The vet did suggest an Xray which I agreed to, no problem. After the 45minutes it took to return the dog to us in the waiting room, the doctor explained that it looked like an enlarged spleen and that we had two options: wait for another doctor to arrive and do exploratory surgery or go somewhere else. I asked about what non-invasive options there were and she explained the only way to find out more would be with an ultrasound. Heres the kicker - They do not have ultrasound capabilities at MAH!!!!! Then why did I waste an hour coming to see them? This office took advantage of a person at a stressful time so that they could make $280 and then send me off without ANY care being provided. To make matters worse, the Xrays that were administered were not sent when my next vet called to request them. The people on staff, starting with the vet, should be ashamed of how they handled this situation.

I am fairly selective of who I trust to provide my medical care and feel its important for the Dr and patient personalities to mesh and for the patient to feel confident that their Dr is engaged in their wellbeing. I am, admittedly, a difficult patient to those doctors who prefer a complicit and quiet patient, but its my health and I dont like to feel like Im walking in and out of a revolving door when meeting with my Dr. I also expect the same from my veterinarian when we take our animals in for care and checkups. About a year ago we were searching for a new vet and we found the Marlborough Animal Hospital and decided to check it out. We met Dr Patti and immediatly clicked with her and the MAH staff. We have not met the other veterinarians there, but am confident they are of the same caliber as Dr Patti. Its a clean and welcoming atmosphere with very friendly staff. I highly recommend bringing your animal here as they seem to truly care about every animal that walks through their door (even my angry and uncooperative cat). Not sure about their prices compared to other places, but Im never shocked by the bill and I never feel ripped off.

I absolutely adore all the staff here. On Friday I had to put my cat to sleep and I chose Marlboro Animal hospital because they came highly recommended by several friends. This was a heartbreaking and terrible day for me and the entire staff made it as comforting, loving and special as you could possibly ask for. They were so kind and loving towards me, Mipsy (my cat) and friend throughout the entire time.I could not recommend them more if possible. I even called several times for questions, concerns and worries about my other animals; all the while they handled it with the up most respect, kindness, love, understanding and comfort. I will forever be grateful for them and will always stick with them for animal care. I also love all the options they provide and let you decide how you would like to proceed. I never had to have a pet put to sleep so they made it the best situation as I could hope and ask for. Thank you so much to the staff; I dont think I would have been able to get through that without you!

Ive been taking my cats here over twenty years. The current staff (March 2011) is excellent, especially Brandon, the new woman, and the one whose name I cant remember who came back from Florida recently. Theyre helpful, friendly, intelligent, and efficient. Im surprised to see bad reports about Dr. Patti because shes been terrific with my very old cat and hes completely relaxed with her. I found her easy to talk with and she seemed quite knowledgeable. Dr. Coffman is outstanding. I hear a lot of excellent comments about him from dog owners and he is clearly a "dog person," but hes good with cats, too.

I have two golden retrievers and was recommended to Dr. Coffman by a long-time dog owner. We have always been treated with kindness, respect, and professionalism by the staff and by Dr. Coffman. I do prefer Dr. C to any of the other vets who have occasionally covered so now I just ask upfront if anyone is covering. We had a puppy emergency last year and both Brandon and Dr. C were clinically appropriate and got us through based on their experience...never too many unnecessary tests, etc. I have trusted my dogs lives with Marlborough Animal Hospital with no second thoughts.

Ive been going to MAH for about 15 years now with our cats and dogs.I have never ever at anytime felt the need to go elsewhere because the team there all are on the same page which makes getting in and out seamless for the most part. This group cares about the animals and keeping them happy and healthy.Sad time for us as our cat Foxworth is being put down after 20 years of great love and companionship and this is the cat that should have been named 360 cause thats all he does is go in circles.Thank you for all you have done through the years with our pet family members.

Ive brought my cat in periodically for general checkups and questions. I dont goto the doctor myself on a regular basis and my cat has always been in great health. However a week ago she wouldnt eat and I knew some thing was very wrong. They got her in the very next morning early and checked her over. They treated her and within 12 hrs she was back to her same loving, playful, energetic, happy, hungry, self. Thank you to the Vet and his staff for helping my Momma cat. Id be heartbroken to lose her. Great work! You have our trust and confidence!

Dr Coffman and his staff are excellent. Dr Coffman is very patient and clearly states what hes doing and why. He answers any questions asked thoroughly and kindly. Weve been going to him with our Rotties for about 8 years so far. Weve lost two of them, and he and his staff were amazing in dealing with it. Theyve even set up a room to make it more comfortable for the end. Im very impressed and appreciative.

These Vets and Techs were absolutely amazing. I trusted them completely. I know it might be crappy to say this though, but they were unbelievably expensive. Granted I paid everything no problem because my pets are my kids, but Ive NEVER been to a place so expensive. If I moved back to the area it wouldnt deter me from bringing my boys back there because they were so awesome regardless of the price.
