As the owner of 2 cats and 2 dogs, of which 3 have chronic medical conditions, Sudbury Animal Hospital has exceeded my expectations every time we call or visit. We moved to the area just over a year ago and one of the first things I needed to do was find a vet. Our oldest dog had been getting sores on her stomach for about eight months before we moved and then started to loose the hair on the tail. The vets in our other state keep giving us topical ointments and telling us it was because she is overweight. She was indeed overweight, but for no reason since she was on a strict diet and had plenty of exercise. On our first visit to Sudbury Animal Hospital, the vet actually stayed and TALKED with me about the pup and through our conversation she inquired if the dog had ever been tested for Hyperthyroidism. She hadn’t so we did the test and it showed that she has it and has since gone on medication (which the vets are very precise about correct dosage too) and is back to her normal self. One of our cats about three years ago got a UTI at least once a month for six months straight. Each time we brought her to the old vet, they just kept giving us antibiotics with no other follow up. Out of the blue just a little while ago the same cat got a UTI again so we took her to SAH and they prescribed antibiotics. When the UTI wouldn’t go away, they took immediate follow up actions and tests to rule out any other conditions. As a result we now have a diagnosis of urinary tract disease and we know what to do when she has flair ups. Our other dog has bladder incontinence (pees in her sleep) and when we were worrying after reading on the internet that some dogs had severe negative reactions to the medicine that SAH prescribed, they patiently listened and told us their personal experiences. The vet techs are so patient and kind when we call to pick up medicine or make appointments. Each vet I’ve had appointments with or talked to is great and I feel at ease with them. The office is always clean and never overcrowded. There is hardly any wait time either.

For nearly 20 yrs my family and I have brought our 6 animals to Sudbury Animal Hospital. When my dog Morgan ripped her stitches after getting spade, they quickly worked to fix the problem and did not over charge. Later, when Morgan got diagnosed with throat cancer, they helped give Morgan a graceful and merciful send off. I remember the compassion in the vets face as we sobbed. When I moved to Vermont for a few years I had to find a different veternarian. The cat we adopted ended up throwing up blood etc. Of the specialists and two vet clinics I brought Calvin to, none were able to properly diagnose the issue. After moving back to the area I brought Cal in for a routine check-up and the doctor was able to diagnose it on the first visit. We love our animals and know that SAH always has their best interests in mind. They are by far the best vet clinic I have ever been to and I highly recomend them for exceptional service!

This is an outstanding practice as far as my husband, my friend Deb and myself are concerned. They have taken extra special care of all my dogs over 30 years. They have always explained my options caring for my pets esp. as they aged. I have always appreciated the advice and respect there opinions. I have also never had an issue getting my heart worm from a cheaper source (Dr Foster and Smith online) with the assistance (prescription) from Sudbury vets. I will not hesitate to recommend this practice to any pet owner. If we get another, since we had to recently put our beloved setter down, we will look forward to seeing our trusted Drs. Allen, Sinnigen, Tizzard and all the wonderful Sudbury Animal Hosp. staff

Weve been using Sudbury Animal Hospital for over 20 years, and the standard of care, knowledge, and kindness of both the doctors and staff is outstanding. Unlike the experience of the person who posted below, weve *never* had unnecessary tests pushed on us, and the doctors have *always* explained all the options and let us make our own choice. I would recommend them to any pet owner without hesitation.

Dr. Alexander is the most amazing, compassionate, intelligent vet we could ever hope to find. She has always cured our dog of whatever ails her, and she shows her concern and love with follow up phone calls. She never pushes any services or treatments on us, just informs us of the options. The love she has for animals is immense. She is always in a great mood and clearly loves her work.

Ive been going to Jack & Betsy a husband and wife team for over 20 yrs and they are just wonder. They are now caring for my seventh dog and I wouldnt have it any other way. My last guy had allot of health issues and they never gave up on him. Helping him and me to the end. Their both just two caring people who care about the animals they care for.

They took advantage of me and my familys love of our dogs. While they always seemed nice and very intelligent, their business model is clearly to milk their clients for everything they are worth. Extra tests, not allowing clients to order cheaper meds online, etc. its very disappointing and hurtful.

Doctor Alexander is our ideal picture of a veterinarian. She takes care of our pup so well. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a vet.

The vets are great. My cats were very scared when they got there, but as soon as they saw the vet they felt better.
