Dr Ulrich is excellent. I have had animals all my life, including sport horses. so have used vets a lot. Dr Ulrich stands out. He takes the time to understand both you and your pet. I have been taking my greyhound there for about three years now. He has always taken into account the concerns and issues I presented and provided a thorough explanation of possibilities, options and costs. There is zero pressure to take an expensive course of action. He really just wants to do what is best for you and your pet. My greyhound just had surgery there. They did a fabulous job. He healed quickly. The prices are really affordable. My insurance allowances for veterinarian care/procedures are in line with their rates , so I can get reimbursed for the costs. Another larger facility I had taken him to nearby, before going to Huron, charged 3x the allowed reimbursable costs, and the care was not nearly as personalized.

The best, forget the rest. Huron is an excellent place to take your pets. Our puppy has seen both Dr. Ulrich and Dr. Beale, who not only have reliable medical expertise and helpful advice (and good senses of humor!), but they both are very friendly and loving with our pup. The whole staff has been really wonderful—warm, friendly, and exceptionally nice to our dog. The clinic is by appointment only, which means you don’t sit and wait, and the environment is very clean, calm and under control. Their services are reasonably priced, and well worth the care and concern you will receive. Top of the line veterinary care!

Dr. Ulrich and his staff at Huron Hospital are simply the best! Dr. Ulrichs professional mannerism and soothing voice towards the animals and their respective parents are very much appreciated by many of his clients! Both of my beloved cats have been seeing Dr. Ulrich for years and there is a reason why I would drive from Arlington (more than 25 minutes each way) to his clinic for any emergencies or regular visits. I would strongly recommend that you bring your pet to this clinic; especially if you are new to the area.

After just moving here, I picked my vet based on reviews online. They were a great representation of the care I received. Dr. Ulrich took the time to explain everything to me, review the cats records, and take lots of time trying to calm them down and make the vet as good of as experience as it could have been for them. They also gave me a loaner cage to take them home in so they could be separated while they were so anxious. I would recommend this place to all cat lovers and owners like me. He is wonderful!!

We have been taking our goldendoodle here since he was a puppy - he loves it and gets excited every time we walk down Beacon toward the clinic. He LOVES going to the vet! I referred a friend here as well, and she has really appreciate the great care he takes of her two somewhat finicky cats. They have also been great about giving advice over the phone when situations arise and have put my mind at ease several times (without necessitating a visit to the office!).

My cat used to get so frightened and belligerent at the vets office that he had to be knocked out in order for the doctor to examine him. When Dr. Ullrich took over the practice, that changed. I wouldnt go so far as to say that Gonga enjoys going to the vet, but he really seems to like the doctor and hes pretty cooperative with him. That makes a huge difference.

I have gone to Huron twice to get a second opinion for my dog and loved Dr. Ulrich. He is very knowledgeable and you always see the same Dr. I have never had to wait in the office or on hold on the phone. I am exciting about switching over from Fresh Pond Animal Hospital to the Huron clinic, where I will get a more personal experience for my pets.

Dr Ulrich is very nice and thorough but best of all he doesnt over-medicate like vets weve had in past. Hes really gentle and our dog loves him. Id highly recommend him for your pet if youre in the Somerville/Cambridge area.

I had read the good reviews, but my experience with this place was shocking. They seem to be over-worked and stressed out to the point where theyre hostile to pet owners. I cannot imagine taking a pet there for care.

I have an old, extremely cranky, diabetic cat. Dr Ulrich is very understanding and gentle. For once, I feel that the health of my pet is more important than how much $ they can get out of me. Wonderful.
