I agree that the person with the flea issue has mixed up locations. There are no rugs at Animal House. I have taken my dogs and cats there for many years. Dr. Lappin is kind and considerate as is the staff. Prices are more reasonable than just about anywhere. Its true that sometimes you have to wait for an appointment or go to the ER, but thats because theyre busy. I imagine if they had an emergency staff on call, the reasonable rates would disappear. I called for my dog today and got her in two hours later because there had been a cancellation. Visiting Dr. Lappin is like going to a General Practitioner, not a specialist. But in my experience he knows his limitations and isnt afraid to say that something is beyond his expertise and recommend someone more skilled with whatever issue is presented. You wont get the latest technology or unmatched expertise, but neither will you pay as if you were getting those things. You will get good solid care, a clean and caring environment, and a skilled, humble veterinarian who will refer you someplace else when he is stumped.

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Lappin for years and he is very kind to my pets. He knows his stuff, knew right off what was wrong with one of our kittens eyes. He prescribed a med that cleared it right up. Hes gentle and thorough and I have NEVER had flea issues at his office. The office is clean and my pets and I have always been treated with kindness and respect. And his staff are also very approachable. So who ever wrote that the office has flea infestation was most likely confusing The Animal House with some other place or is a competitor and trying to get more business for his or her office. I dont know what we will do if he ever retires, trust is not easily gained but he has gained our trust and our gratitude for his excellent work. And yes he does have something set up for animals who need immediate care, just ask...

Though we have been going to Dr. Lappin for years we have had several complaints with him. The office is filthy! I have sat and watched a cloud of fleas jump from the rug to my dog and I frantically tried to pick them off. Please only bring pets here who are on an anti-flea medicine. He also misdiagnosed the dogs Lyme disease we only found out about it once the dog was paralyzed and brought to the emergency animal hospital. Overall Dr. Lappin is good for routine things as long as your animal is protected from fleas but if you have any serious concerns please bring your beloved pet to another veterinarian.

I have never been so disgusted at the lack of professionalism that goes on in this place. They have no set up for animals that cant wait 2 weeks to be seen, the only thing they can suggest is going to the hospital. Well thats great if you can afford that but what happens to those of us that cant ? Is the dog supposed to suffer ? I think that is a horrible thing to do. This vet came very highly recommended to me and I ave to say that I am not impressed one bit !! Save yourself the aggrivation and find another vet...dont waste your time !!!!!!

For over 15 years and still, Dr Lappin and his staff have taken care of my Bichon at very reasonable cost and with the most consideration for my feelings and love for my pet. I trust him with my dogs life. Dr L has operated on my best little friend who had always come through healthy and happy. Dr. Lappin doesnt charge me for extra visits on the same thing... Plus he is very very reasonably priced for office visits and medicines. Hes not greedy. Ive experienced greedy doctors and its a bad feeling. He really cares about me and my pet.

My Gordon Setters have been clients of Dr Lappin for a year now and I am very pleased with the care and service they have received from him and his staff. I was previously with a large "corporate" veterinary clinic and although the staff was good they were hamstrung by the corporate guidelines they were forced to follow. Dr Lappin is a return to the old time, neighborhood Vet who treats you and your animals as old friends.

I have been taking my animals to Dr. Lappin for many years. They have always been very caring and compassionate. His prices are lower than most. I will continue to take all my animals, dogs and cats to the place where everyone know your name and treats every animal and owner as an individual with different needs and treatments.

Dr. Lappin and his compassionate and caring staff combine to give you the most competent and kind veterinary care for many miles around. I bring my dogs from Marthas Vineyard for the security of knowing my dogs are in the best care. I would recommend highly!

Compassionate and kind and the best prices of any local vet. Ignore the other review it sounds like a competing vet with higher prices trying to steer you away from this one. Staff is kind and informative. We will always use Dr Lappin.
