Prior to heading to Smiles Over Somerville, I hadn’t been to the dentist in about 7 years, as I dread going to the dentist. I finally had to relent, as my girlfriend kept hounding me about it. I wanted to use a non-chain dentist close to my work, and S.O.S. fit the bill. The experience was a relief. The office sent me the new patient forms to fill out at home to save time in the office. I was taken back to the chair with minimal waiting. Dr. Chang was very good explaining everything that she was going to do and why, as well as answering my questions. They use newer technology than I’m used to, which lessened the pain (I had my wisdom teeth taken out). Sylvia, the accounts manager, submitted my claim directly to my insurance company. What I owed out of pocket was then directly submitted to my FSA, and I was reimbursed a few weeks after without ever having to submit any paperwork. After years of avoiding the dentist, I would not hesitate to see Dr. Chang again.

I could not speak more highly of Dr. Chang! She has done only excellent work on my teeth in the past 5 years. I am always comfortable and painless when in her office. She explains everything that she is doing during a procedure and makes sure that I understands the options available when I needed a root canal. Her hygienist, technician and office staff are excellent and very personable. She truly is one of a kind and stands by her work! I cannot thank her enough for taking such good care of me these past 5 years.

Dr. Chang and her team at Smiles Over Somerville are the BEST! I have had a number of prodedures done over the five years Ive been a patient there, and every single interaction has been a great experience. From their fanatic attention to cleanliness to an excellent appointment reminder system, every detail is thoughtful and makes the patient experience outstanding. Not to mention, everyone on staff is extremely skilled and takes the time to do things right. I recommend this dental office to everyone I know!!

Dr. Emily Chang has been my dentist since 2008 and at the age of 42 my oral hygiene has never felt better and my smile has renewed my confidence. From the moment you enter the office you are made to feel welcome, important, and your never get the sense you are a client. Her staff, well trained, friendly, funny, for me makes each visit a joy....you leave almost rooting ( no pun intended) for a cavity.....kidding.
