I went to Dr Amar starting in January of 2015.My main problem was my neck .I could barely move it and I was in pain all the time.It had been going on for 8 months and I had no idea why.I had to wear a neckbrace some days just to function.I also had herniated 2 discs the year before and was recovered, but not able to return to gardening or the intense everyday exercise I had enjoyed for years.Dr Amar was honest he told me it would take time to re-align my spine and neck and I had to make the commitment.So I did and boy am I happy I did.I have been a hairdresser for over 30 yrs and never even thought of what I was doing to my body everyday!The adjustments only take a few minutes and they feel WONDERFUL.Once I saw how it was done and relaxed I looked forward to going and I went 3 times a week .I work close by so I would go before work.Going in just became part of my routine and a healthy habit!Then as results began ,we cut back to twice a week and then to once .You are getting better all the time but after 3 months I really felt it and by 6 months I was almost normal!Now I go every other week because it keeps me UNBELEIVABLY LOOSE AND STRONG.Some people go once in a while some a lot some when something acts up.Dr Amar is kind and extremely intuitive and knowledgable in his treatments.The office is a lot of fun the patients luv him and he works very hard to get everyone in and take extra special care of them!And the staff is the same way.Dont wait like I did just call and GO and get healthy and enjoy the amazing benefits of chiropractic!

Dr. Amar is fantastic! I am probably the most skeptical patient hes ever had. I initially wouldnt try chiropractor care, nor did I believe in it. It all began with a lab test that was positive for an anti-inflammatory condition. From there I was sent to a rheumatologist where I disclosed back pain I had since giving birth to my son, fourteen years prior. She then sent me to a spinal specialist who sent me on to a pain clinic. Several medications and one round of spinal injections later, I found myself still in pain and unable to turn my head one day.An associate of my primary cares suggested I see a chiropractor, I adamantly refused, until he disclosed that he received care from the chiropractor. I finally agreed to an initial appointment, yet arrived skeptical and nervous. After the one hour initial appointment was done, my back pain, fourteen years of back pain, stopped! I have since ended my care with the spinal specialist, the pain clinic and botox injections for migraines with a neurologist.Two of my four children have been adjusted by Dr. Amar, as well. I now maintain consistent chiropractic care, have stopped all my prescription medications and the, (fourteen year), back pain is gone. Dr. Amar has a caring approach, he is concerned with the "whole patient", as in life stress, eating, exercise, and alternative medicine (homeopathic supplements). He truly cares for his patients, has a beautiful office location (right near the beach in Swampscott) and has many resources under one roof.

I have been under the care of Dr. Illan Amar since June, 2014 upon sustaining an injury on duty. There is an uneasiness upon entering a new Dr.s office however not so with Dr. Amars office. Nancy and Alisha are welcoming, comforting, available always to assist and answer questions and I continue to look forward to their warm smiles. Then there is Dr. Amar. I have been under chiropractic care for years and believe their care is a valuable addition to maintaining health and vitality. Dr. Amar is simply amazing!!! I knew from the moment that I met him that I was going to be in good hands and that not only was I going to recover from this injury but more importantly I would be under excellent care continually. And that is just exactly what has transpired. I always look forward to my visits to his office. So I encourage anyone who wants the best for their body and health to visit Touch of Health. I love this place. Dr. Amar really takes the time to understand the issues. He listens and looks for the root of the problem, instead of just patching up symptoms. He has a different, more holistic approach to healing, and recommends next steps for you to follow on your own without making you feel overwhelmed. These treatments have made a total difference in my life and Im so thankful! The staff who handle the office and support Doc are always pleasant. Nancy rocks!! And I cant say enough about Michelle and her magical massage hands. I have a curve on my spine, some messed up vertebrae and unaligned hips. Migraines, insomnia... they all go away with my treatments and adjustments. Thanks for taking care of me and enabling me to do more for my body! See you soon!

From the first time I met Dr. Ilan Aman and his staff, I have received professional and effective service that includes the process of making an appointment to the treatment I get at A Touch of Health Chiropractic. Ive gone from 3 weekly visits down to 1 visit for maintenance and I feel the results of Dr. Amans work in reduced pain as well as increased range of motion. Ilan has also helped me when I was in severe pain from a fall and for arthritis in my knees.
