Berkley Animal Clinic has been amazing for our very anxious 10-year old Boxer-Mix Sega We went in a few weeks ago for updated vaccinations, and we mentioned that Sega had a small lump on her leg. After getting it checked out, Dr. Bismack recommended removing it to be safe. Sega has severe separation anxiety, so we were very nervous about the whole experience. Her surgery was yesterday though, and things could not have gone smoother. We arrived to drop Sega off, and (like always) they let us bring her in through the back and right in to a room to avoid getting her anxious in the front waiting room. It was very hard to leave her, but the staff was so reassuring and comforting (especially Collene, who has been amazing through this whole experience). Were still in recovery and have several more appointments over the next couple weeks, but Sega is doing so well and I cant say enough good things about the care we received from Berkley Animal Clinic.

We have rabbits, which makes finding a vet more difficult. A specialist recommend this clinic. It was terrible. The staff was more interested in talking to each other and greeting/playing with regular clients than checking us in/out. You can hear other animals crying from the lobby. They have a cat wandering freely through the clinic, and think its acceptable to leave exam room doors open (rabbit could run, cat could come in). They were rough with my elderly rabbit, ignored my requests to hold her for procedures, and told me to "sit down" when I challenged the vets ability to draw blood (she clearly did NOT know what she was doing, and basically treated my rabbit like a sack of meat). Rabbits are delicate and can be injured easily. The vet treated her like a thing/problem, not a patient/person. Despicable. They should NOT be allowed to treat "exotic" pets as they clearly lack experience and compassion.

This is the best vet that we have ever been to! The staff took care of our first Golden, Huckleberry, (very compassionately putting him down when he was 13 and could barely stand), our other Golden, Cash, (very energetic), and most recently Lola, our Guinea pig. We had never taken a small animal into a vet before and the staff on the phone told me what the issue most likely was and that there was a staff member who specialized in small animals that day and they would get me in (they did and we only waited about 15 to be seen). Lola needed a procedure (it was pretty gross!) and medicine to take home. We received a call 2 days later checking on her progress! The staff is always very friendly and we are 100% satisfied with the care our animals have received there.

The vet I have been seeing here keeps suggesting I put my cat down. He originally tested a false positive for FIV. She then said "do you want to put him down now?" And every following visit I was warned "I wouldnt do anything until I got the results for his FIV test". Why would I want to kill my cat regardless of what he has as long as he isnt suffering? Awful. I took him in to be neutered and got the second (false) FIV test, and when I asked the result, the receptionist said it was negative as they wouldnt do the neuter if he was positive. WTF!? FIV positive cats go on to live long, normal, happy lives! They are uneducated about the disease, which makes me question anything about their judgement. Finding a new vet stat.

I took our rabbit for a wellness check and saw Dr. Golombek. The staff was very nice, and helpful. They got us right into an exam room so that our little bunny ( 2 pounds 3 ounces) age 4 would not be stressed by dogs coming in. They did everything they could to make sure he was calm and not stressed during his exam. Dr. Golombek took the time to talk to us about his diet and working with the vet tech that was in the room so that he received great care. I would highly recommend Dr. Golombek for rabbit and exotic care. She is very experienced and caring with the animals. Definitely will go back again. I have been giving out cards recommending her to people I know have dogs, cats or exotics.

You never see the same Vet. I hate that. I had concerns about my dogs teeth even though we brush them a few times a week. The male Vet didnt tell us about the option to have his teeth cleaned by them. The next check up A lady Vet said they needed to be cleaned and he had to get some pulled out. I was mad because it may have been prevented if the other Vet helped us when we expressed concerns. The office isnt very friendly. The older lady there is really short and rude. It was a good place. There was a really great vet there a couple years ago but I havent seen her since. Im going to find a new Vet. They seem to be more about making money now and rushing you out the door. Its a shame.

Everything from the initial call super last minute to get my cat in, to the actual visit was an amazing experience. They were beyond words friendly and open to really setting aside some time to fully explain everything that was going on with our furry little friend. I could tell the cat was super comfortable and receptive to the wonderful staff, which made the experience that much better. I would recommend this clinic to anyone in the Metro-Detroit area! I personally live downtown and found this to be such an amazing and worthwhile trip to Berkley for the visit. Couldn’t be more thankful to the warm staff for our visit today!

I have a husky, she is a year and a half now and Ive had her since she was 2 months old. She is the first dog Ive ever owned, and this staff answered all of my questions, and have taken great care of her. This is the only vet weve been to. You can tell Berkley Animal Clinic genuinely cares about your pet through the care and enthusiasm they show when you and your pet visit. I recently moved to Mount Clemens, and I still make the trip out to Berkley to keep them as my vet. Highly recommend.

The staff at Berkley Animal Clinic are phenomenal! My 11 year old dog had to have surgery. Dr. Hughes explained the surgery and the risks, making me feel very comfortable about the procedure and him as the surgeon. The staff were supportive and very friendly. Plus, I saw one tech get really excited when she saw an old friend (dog) come in. They all really love the animals and they take great care of the people, too. Great job!

Ive been bringing my little dog Baxter since he was a puppy and the service has always been great. They seem legitimately concerned for the well being of my little buddy, and also are genuinely happy to see him when we come. Ive never really been to another vet, so I cant comment on pricing, but everything always seems reasonable.

These people seem more concerned with ordering more expensive procedures and tests than they are with the well being of your pet. They also told us a medicine we wanted was no longer manufactured because they wanted to sell us something else, which turned out not to be true.
