If I could give them zero stars, I would. If you take your pet for boarding, they probably wont maltreat your pet. HOWEVER, the vet there is incompetent. Im not sure if he knows what he is doing. I am a medical professional and he has the worst bedside manner I have ever seen. I took our cat there for a cough and polyuria (increased urinary frequency). He took an x-ray that looked awful (more or less a white out). He could not pick that up on physical exam, which is something you should be able to do. He tried to breach the topic of cancer about our cat, but would never come right out and give an opinion about it. He would only trail off anytime it came close to speaking about cancer. Instead he diagnosed her with toxoplasmosis after getting lab work and a chest x-ray. He gave her 2 antibiotics. First he gave us the human equivalent of augmentin before the lab work came back because he didnt know what was going on. He then pushed us to get clindamycin for toxoplasmosis after the results came back. She did not have a white count or any signs of infection. We took our cat to another vet this morning and we were told she has a mass on her gallbladder and she passed away this morning. The staff is nice but the "vet" is incompetent. Suffice it to say I will not be returning here ever again. I would not recommend to family.

I took my cat to Eastpointe animal hospital about 3 months ago because she was throwing up so they put her on prescription ID gave me a prescription card so I can get it anywhere so shes been doing pretty good and then I called last night to tell him my cat kept throwing up again and the doctor that Dr. Dave start yelling at me where did you get that prescription ID from you have to have prescription from you I told them I need to bring her in but I cant do it on till the 23rd I said shes really sick and he said well you pay first and then were talk he would not even help me figure out what to do about my cat being sick and then they wanted to charge me $140 for him getting her blood work ripping you off and he had an attitude what a nice vet caring about your animals! All about the money!!!! Im finding a new vet and I always paid whatever I owed what a bad attitude he had my friend couldnt believe it my cat sick and you couldnt even help me and give me some suggestions until I could get her in

I found a Robin in my yard that was pretty much eviscerated (guts hanging out). I took it there because its the closest to my home, and asked them to please euthanize it. A Tech said their doctor wasnt licensed to treat birds. I said that I didnt need it treated, I needed it to be put down. After arguing with her for I dont know how long, she got the doctor - who has very poor command of the English language - to come out to the waiting room to look at this poor thing. He said that yes, he could do it. I thanked him and went to leave when he whispered to the Tech. She said to me, "Wait - that will be $40.00." I am Vet Tech (currently not working) and told her that at the practices I have worked at, we would NEVER charge to euthanize wildlife. She said it was still $40.00. I gave her $5.00 and walked out. No compassion. Jerks.

I have been going here for years and will go no place else. The people that work here are knowledgeable and Friendly. I have animals with medical problems and he makes it possible for me to keep them happy and healthy. I am also a foster parent I had a cat last winter that four other vets told my rescue to put him down. I pleaded with the leadership to let me take him to dr. Dev he had me soak the legs in warm water and iodine And after some time a cat that was supposed to have to be put to sleep because it was doomed to lose both back legs only lost a few toes and is now a little girls best friend all because dr. Dev never gives up and instead of doing the easy thing and get the money for putting this cat to sleep sent me home with iodine. They are in it for the animal not the money.

Worst Vet office ever. Took my dog in along with a fecal sample and was told she had coccidia. The bill was $200.00. I truly believe the doctor never tested the sample. For one reason, just by the way the doctor was answering my questions and because the next day I took her somewhere else and they took a fecal sample right from her and absolutely no coccidia. I showed the new vet what medication Eastpoint sold me and it was the wrong kind of medication to give my 75lbs dog for coccidia. That she did not have. I felt they did not care about my dog just wanted to over charged me. Will never go back to Eastpointe and will warn others not to go there.
