I would give this place zero stars if I could. I took my American Staffirdshire Terrier (AKA Pit Bull) here because he started acting strange and broke out with hives all over his body. The first sign I noticed was all the staff seemed to act as if they were scared of my dog because of his breed. Anyone that knows my dog; know he is a big baby and he is not aggressive or violent in any type of way. We even assured them and showed them he is not aggressive in any type of way so they would not feel scared or threatened. They proceeded to say they are going to put him in a crate. Now my dog has never been in a crate his whole life, because we do not believe in putting our dog in a cage. They took him to the back and caged him, and when he was ready to see the veterinarian, they asked us to go get him ourselves. So we did. I did not see any other person there go get their dog, nor did I see anyone there get their dog crated. When we took our dog to one of the rooms, he was really scared and shaken up and he barked at two of the staff members. Ive never seen him act that way before. With out regular vet, he loves everyone there. So fast forward weeks later we take him to our regular vet and he is terrified and he pees and poops instantly on the floor in the waiting area. I do believe they did something or mistreated my dog, because he developed this fear now that was never there before. Its not fair that his breed gets bullied and everyone automatically assumes he is going to be violent and aggressive. When we finally left and they gave us papers, the assistant put down in the system that he is "aggressive and violent". My fiancé and I both watched them do this. So he barked twice and was shaking and shivering balled in a corner; thats enough to label him aggressive?! I call bs. It was only because he is a "Pit Bull".

I highly recommend this outstanding group of doctors! Ive been taking my great dane/black lab mix (Hunter) to Dr. Boaz for a couple of years. From the very beginning I loved my relationship with Dr. Boaz and how she treated Hunter. Recently we had a horrible scare and were still not out of the woods yet, but when I took Hunter to see Dr. Boaz the care and love he received took my heart. They immediately embraced him with a sense of urgency and compassion. Unfortunately they were not able to diagnose what was wrong so he had to immediately go to a specialist. They made the call and got him in right away, no waiting. Dr. Boaz took all kinds of x-rays and performed a thorough examination before sending him to the specialist. My heart was breaking that day because I feared the worst for my dog but the staff and doctors made me feel secure in their diagnoses. Update: Hunter is doing remarkably well but Im taking everything one day at a time and praying for a full recovery. If you have a four legged baby and want the best veterinary care in Columbus, Ohio then go to Oak Creek Veterinary Hospital. The staff will greet you with a smile :)

Every time Ive had to schedule an appointment for my dog the person answering the phone has had a rude nasty attitude. They act like youre bothering them just by calling. When my dog ran out of his heartworm preventative I tried to order more through 1800 Pet Meds because I was unable to leave my home at the time. Oak Creek refused to fax a prescription to them. They said I had to either come buy the medicine from them or I had to come to their office and pick up a prescription and then mail it to petmeds. When I explained that the only reason I was ordering through petmeds was because it was not possible for me to get to their office they advised me to find a different vet. So I did. Then I found out that the brand of heartworm meds that Oak Creek prescribed my dog is actually extremely dangerous for the type of breed that I have. Collies and Shepherds are highly sensitive to the main ingredient in HeartGard and it can cause serious and even fatal neurological damage! Oak Creek was poisoning my dog! Their number one priority is money they couldnt care less about your pets.

Horrible experience!!! I wanted to buy a Frontline for my cat, but they refused to sell it to me saying that I am not their customer. The reason why I stopped by their place is because it is close to my work. My cat has been suffering from fleas and bleeding for the last 4 days. Hate selfish people, who only care about their micro-rules BUT not you or your pet! So, I called up a different animal hospital on 25 Collegeview Road, Westerville, and they said that "of course they will sell Frontline to me even though I am not their customer".

have been with them for several dogs over the last 24 years. They are always kind and caring. The front desk always gets my dog seen in a timely manner that accommodates my schedule. The doctors are knowledgable and caring. My little 15 y/o angel is blind and half deaf but she is not ready to leave yet. The prices are fair for the area. I recommend this vet.

UPDATE 3/28/13 Our 13 ear old pug got two big scapes on her eye. Dr Bill & crew have taken good care of her, and she is well on the road to recovery. Weve been going there for nearly 10 years, and will continue to do so. Care and prices are excellent. Always have good results at Oak Creek Vet.

The front desk is awful! Rude and very cold. Long wait times, my appt was scheduled for 9:45, we were seen at 10:30. Dr. Boos is the only good thing about this place, she is very thorough and should get her own practice.

Weve had at least one pet at Oak Creek for over 31 years. We currently live an hour away and still travel there for our dogs regular care. I could write a book on how much I respect the staff here.
