Excellent veterinary hospital. Almost four years ago, I walked in on a Friday at about 4 p.m. with a kitty Id just adopted from the Macomb County Animal Shelter. I wanted to have him checked out before I took him home. Although WWVH does not take walk-ins, I was told that if I wanted to wait until after all clients were seen that had appointments, my new kitty would be seen by Dr. Hagewood. So I waited and my kitty, Louis, just walked around and visited with the receptionists who just loved on him. Thank you, Dr. Hagewood, for seeing Louis that day. Twenty months ago, our precious Boston Terrier, had to be euthanized. Dr. Cappel and everyone were so kind and gentle with us at such a painful and difficult time. In December 2011, we went to have our annual Santa picture taken with our kitty, Louis. We left with another kitty and a parakeet too knowing that these critters had been well-take care of prior to our adopting them. If you want a professional and caring hospital, this is the place to go for your pets care and well-being. Its very clean and well-maintained and there are never any odors. Everyone is very accomodating and helpful, plus they always have candy for the pet parents! Five stars and lots of thanks for taking great care of Louis and letting us adopt Elliott (formerly Minkus) and Dyson. In addition, on the first Sunday of December, WWVH provides the opportunity to have your pets and your picture taken with Santa. A $10 donation is taken for each pet photographed and all donations are given to Leader Dog for the Blind which is such a kind and caring thing to do. WWVH is the place to go! I have been meaning to write a review for so long! This is just the most amazing vet clinic I have ever been to. My hedgehog, Hercules, has been through so much. After trying three other vet clinics and he was only getting worse, I finally found this place. Dr. Cappel was the first to help me, and she was SO wonderful. She stayed in the room to explain every little detail to me and answered all of my questions so patiently. She showed about as much concern for him as I did, myself. Dr. Mast started helping me shortly after, and she was also so, so wonderful. I have never seen anyone handle him so well. No doctor had even been able to get a stethoscope under him because he is just so fussy, but she did. He loved her! I am SO grateful for everything both Dr. Cappel and Dr. Mast have done for me and Hercules. Everyone that works there, that I have come across, has been wonderful. They are ALL so sweet and caring. They know me, they know Hercules. They always recognize the faces walking through the doors, and not only know their names, but their pets as well. I am so thankful that I found this clinic. It is SO refreshing to have someone care about your pet almost as much as you do. And that is everyone here.

I was terrified of finding a new vet for my cat. Im the cat-mom that needs people who will love my animal as much as I do, even if its not their own. I had that with our previous vet, so I was hoping desperately that this place had what I needed to feel comfortable for my baby. I read all of the online reviews, brushed up on their own webpage before seeing it; a man 4 years ago, Dave, left a review that touched my heart. Losing a pet is horrible, and thinking youre losing your pet, regardless of the outcome, is gut-curdling. Dave said that the staff had stayed an addition hour past their closing time so that he could say goodbye. Long story short, Dave you were right about them, and I thank you for it. We had a wonderful experience. The Dr was very forthcoming and informative, and the other staff members were kind and complimentive towards my cat. I was comfortable, and so was he; overall that is what mattered most. I will be bringing him here for hopefully the rest of our lives together.

Ive been taking my Cardigan Welsh Corgi, Bowser (black and white, pictured above), to Warren Woods since I first got him in December of 2011. I have been more than satisfied with the service provided by the receptionists, veterinary technicians and veterinarians. Everyone from beginning to end is polite and enthusiastic about the care they provide for my dog. After surgery, they took extra care to make sure that Bowser was comfortable during his overnight stay. When I picked him up the next day, he seemed happy and pain free. I also appreciate Warren Woods consideration of my pocket book. The prices are quite reasonable. Also, there were no additional charges or hidden fees that surprised me during my regular visits. I cant say the same for other places I have been to. I travel all the way from Rochester Hills to go here because its the best place in Detroit for a reasonable price. Id recommend Warren Woods to anyone.

I have been taking my pets to Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital for 13 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. We recently helped one of our cats, Bing, to the Rainbow Bridge and Dr. Julie Cappel and her staff could not have been more caring. I volunteer with several rescues and have met many veterinarians in the area and I truly believe Dr. Cappel is the most knowledgeable and the most compassionate. However, Im also comfortable seeing any of the other three veterinarians at the practice for emergencies, they are all top notch and the staff will always do their best to get you in if you have an urgent situation. I drive about 20-25 minutes to go to WWVH, passing by several other veterinarians in the Grosse Pointe area where I live, but its totally worth it. My pets deserve the best and I really feel like they are getting it from Warren Wood Veterinary Hospital.

My family has been taking our pets to WWVH for over 40 years. I live a half an hour away but would not take my pet anywhere else. The staff is friendly and caring not only for the pets but for the pet parent. In December I had to have my 10 year old boxer beagle mix put down due to a thyroid tumor. Dr. Hagewood stayed with me throughout the process and even for a while after my baby was gone. She walked me to the door when I left. Then sent me a beautiful sympathy card. The staff also sent me another card. A week later I was back at the office with my newly adopted mixed breed pet. I adopted her (or should I say she adopted me) from the Michigan Humane Society and brought her in to be checked out. Everyone was happy to see me and my new dog. I wouldnt take my pet anywhere else.

Weve been going to Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital for sixteen years now, and I wouldnt go anywhere else. When my beautiful boy cat Casey had to be put to sleep six years ago, I sat and held him and cried, not wanting to leave him. When I finally said good bye to him and left, I realized that the office had been closed for an hour, but they didnt tell me. They stayed quietly all that time without disturbing me as I sat holding my little buddy. Im forever grateful for their care of me and my pets. Every doctor, assistant and receptionist has been wonderfully kind, caring, friendly, fun and professional. Five stars to each and every one of them.
