My family was looking for a dentist who was both competent and considerate of their patients finances. I thought I had a competent dentist, but they were constantly trying to upsell me with every service in the book. The previous dentist would try to charge me if their office loosened a crown that they had put in. Dr. Patel has an excellent bedside manner, and his dental skills were immediately apparent. If your dentist cant numb you without discomfort then they arent doing it right. If the technology doesnt allow your dentist/staff to easily explain what is going on in your mouth then find an office that can. A tooth should feel like you were born with it when the dentist is done filling it or placing a crown. Ive recommended this office to several families. I quickly learned that the one-day crowns at my former dentist may not have been the best choice. Food traps behind multiple crowns are slowly being eliminated with replacements by Dr. Patel. The slight inconvenience of having a temporary while I wait for the lab to fashion the crown is more that worth it when the result is a tooth as good as the original. Thank you, Marie, for suggesting that I write this review. You made me feel like youd been with the Southshore team for years, even though I knew that you were the "new guy." Id been meaning to do more that just give word of mouth compliments, and now I have.

First I have to say I am one those with horrific dental experiences having fallen off handle bars of a bike just over 30 years ago. So with that said I am terrified of the dentist. I have been to alot and I just dont go back because of my fear. My son tried South Shore Dental and loved it. He told me just to try them , just go talk to them. After a few months I did it, I called them and I am SO glad I did! Everyone is so supportive in that office. They understand your fear not make you feel bad about yourself for being scared. I needed ALOT of work and choose to be sedated (twilight) SO glad I did! I could call Stacy in the office 100 times and she reassured every single time! Bill put me under and called me before and after the procedure to make sure I was ok! Dr. Patel, Marie and Bruce worked to fix my smile until it was perfect! They didnt hurry up and get it done they took their time. As I sit here crying writing this review I cant thank you all enough for giving me pictures with my grandkids back to me. You will never know how grateful I am to you Dr. Patel, Stacy, Marie,Bruce and Bill and the whole staff at South Shore Dental :)

I cannot give high enough praise to Dr. Patel and his staff!! I called his office with a dental emergency and not only did they get me in promptly, Dr. Patel was extremely gentle while examining my painful tooth (I had been to see an endo a few days prior who almost brought me to tears with the numbing shot, then said there was nothing he could do for me). While at Southshore Dental for treatment I was apprehensive about having the area numbed, but Bruce (the wonderful dental assistant) assured me I wouldnt feel a thing. I had my doubts, I have never in all my years of going to the dentist NOT felt the shot. I didnt feel a thing!! It truly was painless. My dental work turned out to be a little more extensive than anticipated, yet Dr. Patel was able to do everything that visit as opposed to having me return. He took the surprise in stride and explained to me what was going on before continuing to work. I cant thank the Dr. and his office staff enough for their kindness and their willingness to work with their patients. Its very nice to sit in a dental chair and feel as if the dentist truly cares about you as a patient.

Because of a bad experience at my previous periodontist it had been at least 3 years since my last dental visit. I knew I had to get back to a dentist soon and chose Southshore Dental after spending much time researching this office as well as 3 or 4 others. I was impressed with the detailed information on the website and it gave me the confidence to make that first call and schedule an appointment! I am so pleased and excited! Finally, a dental office that doesnt scare me!!! My past 3 visits have confirmed that impression! From my dental hygienist to the office staff, Dr. Patel and Stacey, as well as Marie and Sue, I am almost ;0) looking forward to my next dental appointment!! They have all been helpful, kind, professional, compassionate and gone out of their way to ensure my comfort and care. I cannot say enough about this team and Dr. Patel. I am so glad I made the decision to put my fears aside and take that first step towards my new smile!! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Easily the easiest most pain-free experience I have had at a dentists office. I was in a significant amount of pain because of an enflamed nerve, and I need a root canal. They were the only office that was able to get me in within a couple of days and take care of the pain. Dr. P knows his stuff and was able to perform the root canal with almost no pain felt by myself. The staff is very nice, the office is awesome, they have tvs you can watch on the ceiling as you lean back during your visit. During my first visit they even put a pillow underneath my head so that I would be comfortable. They were consistently checking in on me throughout my whole visit to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain. I felt very safe and taken care of. Overall I was very, very pleased with my visit. They made me feel valued, they educated me through the whole process, and they were very patient with me as I had a lot of questions when it came to the billing process.

Dr. Patel and his assistant Marie were amazing. I am pregnant and came in as a new patient with some issues that probably should have been addressed much sooner, but became worse when I got pregnant. Dr. Patel, Marie, and the rest of the staff were very kind, professional, and took every measure to ensure that procedures being performed would be safe for the baby. They were very concerned with my comfort and pain level during procedures, not wanting me to be in any distress. There was really no pain! They did not make me feel at all ashamed or uncomfortable for waiting so long to address these issues, and I have already set up appointments for after the baby is born to continue my dental care with them. Overall excellent experience!

Doctor Patel and the Staff at Southshore Dental changed my life! Growing up I was never taken to the Dentist for dental checkups. As a result, in my adult years I ended up with cavities, broken teeth, crooked and overcrowded teeth. I was too embarrassed to ever smile and avoided talking to and meeting new people. In just a few short and painless visits to Southshore Dental, Doctor Patel and his Assistants performed a miracle. I now have a beautiful smile to be proud of and am no longer embarrassed to have a face to face conversation with old or new acquaintances. I would highly recommend Southshore Dental to everyone who needs any type of dental work. They will literally put a smile on your face.
