I visited SVS in January 2017 to take advantage of my insurances vision coverage that I had never used. I had a pleasant customer experience while I was there. I completed an eye exam and based upon the results I was told that I needed glasses. I was also referred to an ophthalmologist for other vision issues. During my visit to the ophthalmologist, they also completed a few eye exams and afterwards asked why I was wearing glasses. I told them that I had an eye exam at SVS and was told that I needed them. Well, it turns out that I never needed the glasses to begin with! The lady at the ophthalmologist office seemed surprised when I told her they were prescribed to me. Considering how much I paid, I was upset to find out that I never needed them. I called SVS and let them know what the assistant at the ophthalmologist office told me and they said that I could bring them in for a refund. I had no issues with that but I did have an issue with being issued glasses I never needed. I felt taken advantage of. If youve never worn glasses before and looking to make use of your vision coverage also, I suggest getting a 2nd opinion before willingly paying hundreds of dollars for glasses you dont need.

I did not have a good customer experience here and will not be returning to this location again. Instead I will be going to the SVS Vision in Garden City instead. The woman that works there whose name is Tina is rude for no apparent reason. She also had the audacity to try and tell me that I should not wear contact lenses I should just wear glasses instead. She is not a damn Optometrist. She has no business telling me what I dont need. She was rude the entire time that I was there. She did not talk to me with any respect. I will not be returning to this location ever again.
